Rep Power: 0 car audio shops in la
Hi,
I heard from my cousin that there are some audio shops in LA where it's really cheap, and I plan on going with him sometime in the near future. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these shops and what kind of deals should I expect? Are the prices in these shops comparable to ebay? Thanks!

Rep Power: 0 PacificStereo or Stereo1 are nice places. But they all seem kinda shady IMO. etronics.com has good quality stuff for near bottom prices. don't flame me on this but i would go to BestBuy or Circuitcity only because they are reputible places, eventhough their stuff is overpriced and old models.
DIY = etronics.com
dealer do it = Pacific Stereo - on Topanga

Rep Power: 297 Stereo One seriously sucks.
I went to the shop in Diamond Bar and they wanted to charge me $30-$40 for a HU kit that costs $5 on eBay.
And the guy who tried to sell it to me couldn't end a sentence without saying "bro!'
Many of the shops in downtown carry alot of cheap products like Pyle and such.
The prices are what you can talk them down to.
My cousin bought a Alpine amp with emough power to run 2 RF HE2s for $100 and the sub box for $20.
I suggest you find what you want on eBay (don't forget to add S/H fees) beforehand so you have some sort of idea how much you can expect to get it for. If its cheaper than the shipped price on eBay I'd say go ahead and buy it.
Also watch out for refurbs. Imagine you find that nice Pioneer in-dash DVD and then he brings out a brown (refurb) box after you paid him.
Its be nice if you can understand Spanish so you know what they say behind your back. Lol Jk.

Rep Power: 379 11th and central... all i can say is you will get the lowest prices there, but you have to walk around and look for the lowest price, i got 20 feet of 4 gauge wire for 8 bucks, the place next store tried selling it for 20 bucks, i could get a brand new W7 for 450; retail is like 700. this is all whole sale so no tax, well if you pay cash...
