Right on, Chris! That cracks me up!

If my husband and I can't service our car ourselves then we go to a very reputable Honda only repair shop called Prudence Acura and Honda care. Of course, if it is a warranty issue, we go to Dobbs Honda here in Tucson.

I have oil changes done at Bell Honda, they send me coupons so it's like 15 bucks, and it's usually only 20 minutes.

once again i will talk **** about BH: they suck at service. they always promise a certain time, then gimme my car an hour late.

btw: dont ever go to any Brake Masters( especially at 55 + Bell)

anyway, i go to whoever i have a coupon from...no more than $16 for an oil change.

For the most part I do my own work, but if it's something under warranty, I take it to the Honda Service Center of Gilbert.

Definitely not Flagstaff Honda. They are a bunch of a55holes and generally have no idea what they are doing. And half their techs won't even talk to the customers about what is happening with their cars.

I will not go to any dealerships for their prices are not the best!!! I found a locally owned shop that only works on Honda/Acura. The owner worked for the Honda dealership for almost all his life so he knows his stuff and his prices are great. He is very reputable. I highly reccomend everyone try to find an independent shop that specializes in our cars!

I got tired of waiting for oil changes so I just don't get em done anymore. Overrated IMO. So instead I just keep adding new oil once a month, a few drops are just the trick.

Along these lines...I had an idea for a shop, kind of came up through my time in the military. We used to have an auto shop on base where you could rent out a stall with a lift, tool rental, etc. Would that be something you guys would be interested in? I was thinking of putting together a place with ~ 6 stalls...2 rented out to mechanics but the other 4 or so for rent to the public. Also a storage area for project cars with an on-site parts shop and a kind of hang out area/coffee shop/grill. Just kind of an idea and am wondering if there would be any interest in a shop like this?

Oh and I have Danny's Family Carousel do my oil changes, etc.

Jon, Dallis (Rufus) does oil changes, he was only joking about the adding oil part!

100pb4k-THAT IS AN EXCELLENT IDEA!!! I know a lot of guys that want to do work on their own car but have the problem of needing a lift. I would definitely check into this idea of yours for if you got the word out properly, you would be booked constantly and need more bays!

Yeah, I have been looking into that. My mother-in-law works for Farmers and she is looking into Commercial Insurance and my Father in law was a service manager for a number of years...it may not be do-able but just checking to see if there is interest out there. Shot off an e-mail to Opak Racing about possibly opening it as a Spoon Sports distributor...we'll see.
