I thought insurance on motorcycles wasnt that high. I think down in Florida you dont even have to have insurance. Never see people in Florida wearing helmets or protective gear, crazy...
Damn...the wife won't let me get a bike. I get the "you'll get yourself killed" speech everytime I bring it up. Its not that big a deal because I couldn't afford one right now anyway...but time will tell.

Oh ya, but for that to work you can't actually let her have anything she wants.

I have my o4 civic and a bike, thank god i have the bike cuz i haven't drove my car in over a month and a half, plus it gets good gas mileage, but my insurance doubled when i moved to AZ. Bike insurance in south dakota was bout 820.00 a year for full coverage for my sport bike, now that i'm here, insurance at it's cheapest ive found is $1,700 a year, on top of my car payment/bike payment/car insurance and bike insurance. It's expensive, but i'm going to be 25 in 1 more year so i'll be good to go than
who do you guy insure your civic's through and what you pay?
I'm with All-State, i have a clean record and driving history, the did a check of 5yrs back and saw nothing, so i got an extra discount. I pay $200.00 a month for my civic. Anyone have some recommendations to find it cheaper elsewhere? Like I said, 24yrs old, clean record, no tickets or accidents on file for past 5yrs, i qualify for discounts.
Who you guys insure through and how much ya pay?

as far as the insurance on the bikes...
the last bike that i had (1998 Suzuki TL1000R) was only $68.00/month with full coverage
that was because it was considered a 'crusier' because on the V-Twin motor
(this is something to consider, as well as, the friggin torque!!)

What insurance company was that with?
i dont know if they knew about sport-bikes being available in a V-Twin or not, so it might have changed since i last insured one
i was insured through AllState
