Underbody lighting question

Before anyone says it, I have exhausted every option. I've checked all the links in the thread in the legal section and I don't see anywhere that tells anything about car lighting.

Anyway, of course I have a question about color. When I got my car it already had 3 white neon tubes under it. No idea what happened to the 3rd. All the wires are cut too.

I know a lot of people think underbody lighting is stupid, but I don't. I am considering hooking it all up... but I have a red car and I think white lights would look stupid. So, do any of you know if red is okay in florida? It's not going to be with any other colors. Just red.

I've asked people locally and I get all different answers. Some say yes and some no. I go to Old Town in Kissimmee and I see old cars with red neons under them all the time.

If I still can't get clarification I will call the police and ask them when I get closer to actually doing this. I try not to have to call them unless I really have to. lol

Thanks

I believe it dosent matter what color it is as long as your car is still. It's when you have them on and moving that will get you pulled over. But then again I wouldent know... I'm not a fan of them

Yeah that could be true... which then it's kinda like why have the lights. I'm not gonna turn them on when the car is parked.

I am definitely going to put a couple mini led tubes inside under the dash though. I really like that. My wife's XB has the orange lights under the dash and seats and I am a fan of that. But that's about as "rice" as I will ever get. lol

I go to the weekly Scion meets on Kirmman/I-Drive. You should come with your wifes car some day. I'm the only Honda there lol but they are like family to me.

Excal is an unknown quantity at this point
From my understanding it doesn't matter what color they are thats only your headlights or sidemarker lights they worry about color....plus you can have them on while driving as long as they are up high enough so that that bulbs can't be visually seen unless you get down and look under. I could be wrong but that was the last thing I heard about them.

I've participated in many threads about these because I'm thinking about getting them myself and nothing has been confirmed about the legalities. I think white is the best for any colour car, it really sounds stupid until you see them on. They look great.
But anyway, the law is that your car is not allowed to emit a red light from the front since this is reserved for emergency vehicles. Whether or not this is considered to fall under this law has not been confirmed, however I know people that put red under there anyway and don't get hassled too much. The same goes for blue, apparently every other colour is fine. But again, none of this has been confirmed and I'd be surprised if anyone on here knows for sure.

I have had blue on my car and gotten 3 tickets. From what police have told me blue, red, and white are illegal. I have yellow on my car now, but I only use them for shows.

Honestly I think it depends on what you have done to your car. I know people with blue and red neons on stock cars, and they have no problems at all. I have ALOT of things done to my car, and when I had the blue neons in I would be lucky to drive 10 miles without getting pulled over
