After hard consideration (not really) i am going to sell my civic and buying a..................mr2-spyder. Dose any1 know a active mr2 website? no worries im not leaving here =D i just want to buy parts and ask stuff bout the mr2. BOYYY i cant wait.

ooooo the mrs huh, well then i suggest you put a 2zz-ge in it, anything toyota makes with "g" in it means its performance oreintated(sp) basically they changed the head , lets just say it will be a mini elise(or better), 2zz is the celica gts engine(180hp)although the elise is tuned for 190 its the SAME engine, vvtl-i the l's for lift, toyotas version of vtec but i think its a better job, just not much after market for the celica so people think they suck, a well driven one can hit high 13/low 14's with JUST i/h/e(weather permitting). its a light car though 2300-2500lbs. and lift is VERY nice if you have ever been in a properly driven celica gts, the mr-s comes factory with the celica gt( used to have one) engine thats the 1zz-fe with 140hp,blahh. yamaha designed the head for the car though . but the car is so light that its peppy, they are both 1.8's so not much tourque, they make turbo kits for it but if you like to drive then i sugest you go with the 2zz engine IMO. anyway thats a lil advise and knowlegde if you havnt researched it yet.

in reality the car is not practical for everyday use, id rather have my slow civic the mr-s. there is virtually no trunk space, just a small spot behind the seats to maybe put a breifcase in, the seats dont recline as much as a person would want them too, although it handles very good its far from being comfortable in driving it everyday. the car wasnt designed to be a persons ONLY car IMO, not to mention i got tired of dealing with toyotas shity service.

im planning to do the 2zz swap in the future after my motor goes bad, plus i heard that the 1zz dosent hold up long and will give problems. o yea and toyota dose has a crappy as service.

Well, it's not that I HATE them, when done up they can look pretty cool. But I guess like "imsonasty" pointed out it's not real practicle, and in it's stock form, I'm sorry to say, that car is a POS. I had a friend who had one and he coulden't stand it and sold it after 6 months. Now if you wanted an older MR2

ROFL sw20 are sick, but no lie the mkIII looks like a frog stock but im not keeeping it stock imma JDM that biatch i have my setup all pictured out in my mind already and the mkII's are not that reliable they give alot of problems and that they are old, but a really nice garage car.

hah mine was sick! i wish i still had it, shiny white with the sc rims, i had the levin 20v engine in it, and got greedy with the mods, i was young and stupid and put a zex (dry hahah) kit nitrous system on it, was REALLY fast though. 2nd one had the 16v red top jdm140hp version, had some sort of sputtering problem i couldnt fix, that was such a pos haha. ill get another one agian, i like the aw11's better becuase they drive like lil racecars, more agile then the sw20's and a real "drivers" car i think. but most people call them ugly.

if you go with the 1zz-fe engine in the mr-s it wont break unless you abuse it, i mean the car isnt just guna fall apart, just that there are LIMITED mods you can actually buy for the car, they do make turbo kits though, if you want to go that route id stick with the 1zz-fe it handles boost better then the 2zz, but nothing beats hitting lift at 8400 in a 2000lb car. the 2zz mounts strait up to the car so the swap is pretty decent, you would have WAY more problems in a boosted 1zz thats just as fast as a stock 2z swapped. if you slap just I/E on the swapped 2zz mr-s id would be a great auto-x car, and put a grin on your face. anyway im bored now, my civic FINALLY has the wheels on it, they look hot but the car is too high, guna order some more junk end of the month and finaly the fact lip, ill have pics up soon. or if you see a high fiji blue civic with gold wheels thats prolly me, i just wish it was faster.

oo yea i forgot to tell you NOT to get a 2002 engine/ecu if you get the 2zz, they where rev limited to 7800 vs 8300, if you get a 2002 engine with the ecu it WILL have this crap ecu, you would have to fix the knock sensor as well and a few other things, the engine is the same other then these things. so make sure you read what it has and ask the year.

a guy local to here has a black one, looks bone stock, but it has a stage one turbo kit in it. i talked to him a little, disco potato, 6-8psi(don't remember) little over 200hp his best run was a 13.9 that night. he said his best was a 13.6

i agree they are not practical, but damn do i love them. i always went to the toyota dealership to sit in them, they look like fun cars. except the owners are dicks, everytime i wave at them, they just look at me. why be hating the mk2? lol

its just because i have those rims aready on my civic and itll be nice if the rims look nice on the mr-s already instead of looking for rims again. I agree with u if i get a black mr-s black rims with chrome lip or GM with chrome lip dam they all look good with chrome lip =D

my gold reverbs would look hot on a black mr-s, they have on at honda for 20k i looked at a few weeks ago. its just too damn small.
