yeah i might be moving to florida next year to go to full sail multimedia school/college in winterpark, FL (i think) and i was wondering if anyone here is from that area or knows about it. i know its close to orlando, but how far exactly? and what type of a town (big, small, etc) and are there some decent places to live and what not. thanks.

pretty big town. Full Sail is just a couple miles from our major University. University of Central Florida (UCF).

IM me on SOLO7thGenEX sometime. ill give you the low-down on whats up in this town. lol...its pretty big though. you'll get used to it.

someone else on the FL forums just moved closer into the city for Full Sail as well. now lives 2-3 miles from my doorstep. LOL! small world!

im not sure. i havent even applied yet. probably digital art, comp animation, or film. it sounds like a blast. it should be a good experience. how far is winterpark from the beach?

about an hour - hour and a half to melbourne beach id say let me kno if ur in my hood ever u do have cocoa beach which would be no longer than a 45 min drive

I went to the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, and got my B.S. in Game Art / Computer Animation.....its a lot of fun but a LOT of hard work.

how much were you making when you got a job after you graduated, if you dont mind me asking? i want to get a general idea. i was thinking of going into the digital arts and design area. game designing sounds like it would be hard, plus im not very good at math.

My teacher (tv productions in H.s) was a teacher at full sail. lousy pay, they rarely will find you any decent work outside of the school, the programs are constantly running over budget so they increase tuition nearly every year....
