Never again will I go to HIN.. they need more organization and a better car classification system... How can a candy purple eclipse with five tvs, custom system trunk with embedded NOS bottle, racing seats w/ 5 point harness, FULL cf interior, lambo doors, bodykit molded on, chromed out engine... be in the same category.. "mild" .. with me? see my pic below.

Oh and how can a 2004 corvette with a candy, chameleon and graphics mixed paint job, chrome engine, over 5 tv's, 6000 dollar system... be in "mild"?

I dont get it... Supposively, NCCA judges now judge this event.. It's still the same shlt as when HIN judges did it back in 2000.

Also, my crew of 10 cars was split up.. we all arrived together.. but a crew of 13 was placed together and a crew of 7 was placed together.. ok?

I ran my mouth at that procedure and even brought out Myles.. the event coordinator from his skybox booth, but by the time everything was resolved we would need to move 20 cars around.. I decided to just leave it split up and call my section "UnderStimated C.C. North" and the other section "UnderStimated C.C. South"...

thanks for sharin but i was sayin i know what its like at these shows cuz i put my car into them you all know. im just sayin i know how it is and ive been to more shows to him im sure and just sayin welcome to the import scene cuz ive been screwed at shows and others have im sure. get use to it. if u dont have a big name in the import scene like jay laub or members of team eci, those big ballers, you will get screwed at HIN and those big shows over and over. its about all who you know.

to hell with going to shows, i go to them to make fun of **** heads like that exlipse, all that matters to me is how my car looks to me, and those close, i like mine clean, no graphics, hardly anything wild for a body kit, my car is bone stock on the outside, cept a CF hood and rims. and ill own most of those show cars. nuff said for me, ill park it in the garage at night knowing my **** is ten times better

edit i do have shop stickers, but like three and u cant hardly see them. promotion for the shop

i would have to agree with you guys on all that was said. the wide body wrx that we built at my shop didnt even place. this thing is a true wide bodt at that. we didnt use a kit or fiber glass we used sheet metal and idi it write. it also has a carbon fiber roof, custom and fiber galss interior with a custom roll cage we built. the onlt reason i still to the shows is that my sponsors foot the bill for alot of my stuff and its good exposure for them. soory for everybody that didnt make it. there were alot of nice cars there and i would have liked to have met everyone face to face.02 it was nice meeting you though bro hope to see everybody soon we have a crap load of work to do on trippers skyline. he want the same wide body as the wrx done so i will keep everybody posted lets all get together this weekend if possible. HIN's sucks, is expensive, they mixed domestics, highly disorganized and the judging/classes totaly suck.
Spring brake starting to look the same, I'll not show to compete anymore.
I build my car for me and not for 2 or 3 doma$$es to judged and tell me if is good enough or not.
I already have lot's of trophies mag coverage and sponsors.

funny how we all think alike. this is just a idea but i think we should try to put together something here localy. call it a getogether and not a show. i think we could pull it off. hector has got the plans in his head already because i remember talking to him about it once. what do you guys think?

wq/e works i think HIN etc shoud be like 100$ per car... which would weed out crap and then if your car isnt rice they give u 90 back therefore crap has to pay 100 and crap doesnt come again

Riley, lets at least spell it right... it's MONS, as in "Mons Venus"... and secondly i'm sure every single true gear head that walks through HIN's doors would say everycar in there is rice... unless ur car pushes out over 400 HP and doesn't has a stock exterior is considered rice nowadays... nothing is new anymore, and the new stuff that does come out, like you said, tends to be crap, and they market crap so that people think it's cool... lol why do you think i haven't attended nor shown in a show in over a year an a half? Nobody can keep up with these untouchable Best of Show HIN winners because the stuff they have is just rediculous and they spend over 100K to make a car that must be trailored in to make a show...

things are just getting rediculous nowadays...

i would have to agree with the fact that all these guys that are winning best of shows win with cars that are never driven. jay loab is actually a friend of mine and he is curenttly working on that nsx that was ta hin miami. he plans on putting a wide body to it and a bunch of other stuff. but like i always say to some one when they ask me why i do this to my car. it makes it more fun to drive. keyword "drive". build a car so you can drive it not trailer it.

Yep! I have been screwed at alot of shows. Nopi this year was a JOKE! went to the same winners as last year, the judges walkin around didnt know ****. But hey you find that at all the shows. Ill do my show run one more year(or 2 depending on issues), the turn the car in to a AUTO X beast.
