i think its a good idea i was kinda hopin it wasnt on the 6th cause im sposed to be riding to ATL for nopi sept 20something dont know the date just know that i have a hotel room booked ..haha ... if any other 7th gen members from florida are going i say we ride there together too ... meet in orlando or somewhere .. maybe even tampa and just shoot up 75 .... just an idea ... is there a thread about fl members going to nopi anywhere? ... and yeah i'll want to follow someone too

oh yeah and also ...if its an ALLLLLL florida meet shouldnt we have it in a central location so that more then likely some people from the PH might show up?? ... just wondering ... i know im new but wouldnt orlando/daytona be a better choice of a meeting spot??

miami is just soo far south and you know that noone from the panhandle will show cause its like a 10-12 and people dont like driving that long

Please take in account that we have to get a permit for this type of event
so if you have a location in mind check first with the park or facility administartion.
Otherwise you maybe wasting your time.

I can get a spot, sponsors here in O- town / Tampa
I don't mind driving south and I'm sure that at least 10-15 of us will caravan down there.
I have no reliable conections there, may be I could get BR magazine in Miami to cover our event.

Can I make a suggestion for the members down south?
Have a local meet soon discuss the matter and see how many of your ppl will be commited to have this event.
It will suck if 10-18 of us drive down south and there is only 4 of you there.
Get with Derek he'll be glad to help out.

SO what about just a small So. FL meet at least. Like seriously....all the meets are always up north. So if no one wants to come to Miami (which i dont see why not...its more fun here) we can just have a local meet. I'm not gonna drive up north. Too m any miles on those Nitto's...too many miles on my odomoter....and too big of a hole in my pocket.

Central florida is great and all.....but everything over there closes like at 11pm (exaggerating). In miami there are a buncha places to go (especially if you're 21) afterwards...and the party is JUST beginning at 2 AM. We can just shoot the sh*t for a while at a park and then go hang out somewhere. Great opportunity for those that live somewhat nearby miami...and don't come here often...to come party and check out the scene....it's become pretty hot out here.

well, if you put it that way, me and my friend dj at a club in coconut grove thursday and saturday nights, and in a month or so ill be the permanent resident because he is moving, so any of you that are 21+ (and maybe a few exceptions, just as long as its not a huge group) that arent 21 can come over to the club.

personally? I spin old funk, underground hip hop, and some drum n bass.
at the club, I spin 80's music, teh jiggy music, ish like that. stuff that people dance to. I'm not a big fan of the stuff they ask me to play.

then stay in miami and do your own thing... we just try to accomodate to everybody... but all you are doing is wasting thread space and saying how all the meets are up north... Ya know what... CRY ME A RIVER!!! we try to keep everyone happy getting it in a central location for everyone not just you and spdrcerchick.... or whatever... just think about all the otehr FL members before u start whining about miami meets... if it's sooo in need of a meet... set up ur own miami meet in your own thread...

I think that what they are doing (I hope)
is getting their local ppl together to find out how they can better organize a show / meet in the south and to see if there is an interest on doing so they will need to have at least 8-10 memebers to show to the pre- florida meet for this to happen.

The location has not being decided yet.
But it will make a lot of sense to have the big meet/show where there is more access to it for all memebers including central and north Fla and out of state,most of this guys would not mind driving down if we had to.

The problem that I see so far is that there are very few members down south commited to host our big show and some of them don't want to drive north if we hosted here.
That leaves them almost out of the picture.
We want to include the south to represent Florida as a whole, but let's face it only very few are whiling to commit.

We do very well as far as meets here in Central Fla, ppl fom other states make the drive, actualy use their tires and the whole car, come on, is a car drive it!
Is like having a $120.00 pair of Nikes and walk barefoot cause you don't want to get them dirty


But that's exacly what this pre meet should be for.
Ludlam is doing his best to make it happen and we should support his efforts.
Any way, whatever location we decided on the big show I hope that besides Luis more south Fla members participate.

We' ll have the big show in October regardles of location, the wheels are already rolling.

But check this out mex....yeah its a car...and i drive it. But when u can barely afford to put gas in it....you wouldn't be thinkin of takin an 8 hour roundtrip on it would ya?

OK so anyway....we're not trying to get ALL of you to come down here. We understand that if its more convenient for everyone to do it up there...as thus far it has been then cool. But as i recall.....the thread that preceeded this was callin for a so. fl. meet. The ALL FL. meet thing was brought in later and somehow it was implied that it should be here. Which w/e.....if i knew for sure that you would all be comin down i'd definitely make it a point to show you around and make sure you all have fun......

But anyway......like i said...i can't make a central fl. meet. I'm interested in a so. fl. meet...and if it's JUST a so. fl. meet then that's fine. The only reason we even mention it to you guys is cuz you're ALL part of 7thgen. It'd be like havin a party and not inviting people that lived 5 blocks away instead of 4. We mention it. If you're interested in comin down and it's a for sure thing on both behalves we want u to know that we'd be happy to show u around...

actually im a broke *** poor college kid, and im lucky if i can put gas in my car but i'll still make the 8 hr trip happen .. **** im bout to drive 7 hours oneway just to go to a car show, ... and actually the so fl meet thread started after this one when they started talking bout making miami the meeting place people were questionin if there would be enough of so. florida members to show up to make it worth the people from central fl to make the trip down there ... i think orland would be the best meeting place, ...theres a lot to do, its right in the center of everything, everyone can get there, and even people from the panhandle ... yeah imagine that its florida too ... could come out and make a weekend of it ... **** if it was in tampa and some people wanted to make the trip i would open up my apartment to them so they could crash somewhere .... but yeah ... whereever it ends up being .. i'll try my damndest to be there ... im not attacking you spdrcrchk ... just understand where you're comin from on the gas thing, and lettin you know this one was first .. i believe it was at least if im wrong you can call me a jack *** all day

okay im going to post my oppinion, the post is called the all florida meet hosted by the lazy south florida folk okay so the post being named that the meet i think is at south florida right, so lulam myself spdracrchk are trying to put a date for this to happen here all florida cats are welcome to come if they wish if they dont well i will be at this meet anyway, if a national 7thgen meet is held in orlando its held in orlando but the all florida meet will be held in south florida seeing a miami member thought of the creation of the meet ,so lets try not to argue and get together to make this happen

Krazielx...i'm not takin it personal don't worry. Truth of the matter is i really cannot afford to make a trip;. Gas....lodging, food...that's all money that i can't afford to spend as much as i'd like to. My hours got cut back at work recently and things are super tight. Keep in mind i'm earning half the money and still have the same expenses (bills).

But anyway.....small meet for So. FL in the meantime. I'm up for that.

regardless, supermex and derek have stepped up to try to organize the large meet. I feel that wherever they think it would work best, thats where it should be because they want to make it a show/meet, and i think they have a bit more experience than us at car shows.

I think you should have your meet in South Florida and see who show's up and if they are whiling to go and contribute to a National Show regarless of the location.

One think about having a team is that we help each other out.
I drive to Atlanta or Jax for a show with my team and some times one of us is not doing very good with money (let's face it we drive a Civic for a reason) we usually chip in for gas and hotel room for that one person.
For HIN Orlando we 10 ppl rented a house, ppl with more money put in $50 some ppl put in $10.00
for $200.00 you can rent a house divided by 10ppl. do the math.
Gas to from Miami is like $25.00
Besides you about 3 months to save $100.00 at the most.

That is the reason why we want to get organized.

And guys don't argued any more, let' them have their meet they need to know how many active memebers they have.
Some recluting may be in order!
