I lost :(

Hehe.

Well, I was put back in my place tonight. I was feeling a little too cocky because of my new K&N intake. I decided to race my friend's 95 Celica GT. We went on the highway and did our thing.

We started from a roll at about 40 mph. On the third beep we gunned it, and I was ahead. I held him off by a nose until about 110. By this point, my car had shifted (into overdrive I think)and he just started to gain on me. I saw a car ahead in my lane about 200 feet ahead, so I backed off.

It was pretty close though. Im going to give him another run maybe tomorrow. We'll try this one from a stop instead of a roll.

If I would have had a stick, it would have been all over. *sigh* automatics

if you had a stick you would have beaten him if you kept a nose ahead with an auto. dont know if i missed it but is he manual or auto?

If you were ahead at 110, then you surely beat him to the quarter mile.

I like automatics myself.

Nice. I, however, was a bit more fortunate. Such is life.

My dad gave me $400 to put down on my first new car, then I was on my own. It was a 1963 Ford Falcon and cost $1840 out the door, brand new.

my first kinda car was an older integra GS-R, i spent $250 for a tune-up cuz it hadn't been driven in a while...it was my uncles. So not 3 days later the transmission just ***** on me, he beat the **** out of the thing. I didnt want to spend money on a new tranny and probably a new clutch so i got a 2k2 civic.

I paid for that too...$2500 down payment and still paying every monthly payment. Im 17 and my 21 year old sister doesnt pay for anything, my dad does..and he has never bought me anything. But it really does build character....all of you milking off your parents it must be nice...ENJOY IT!!!

But for us busting our ***** and helping out he family along the way, be proud!!
