ex 5spd vs. rsx base 5spd
REDLINE: I took the liberty of running a search of the dyno runs that members have posted in this forum. Like I said before, I've yet to see much more than a 6hp gain at the wheels with I/H/E. And you think that intake adds 9hp, exhaust and header adds 10 hp?
Here ya go:
Civic 1 (6.6hp)
If you look on AEM's website, their V2 intake dynos a 5.5whp gain.
The v2 makes less horsepower than the original CAI, yet costs more? Haha...doesn't make sense. Or maybe this might be a clue that AEM posts whatever numbers that makes their products look good knowing that individuals like yourself will believe them.

i remember awhile ago someone posted about the RSX that gained 15 hp from a DAC DC CAI....everyone believed that but they dont believe we can get 8.9 hp out of an AEM?! pfff...you guys are damn crazy. even with dyno chart posting.
well have you ever tested it? i honestly doubt it. pay for the dyno and ill go test mine right now. and as far as the 7thgen vs 6thgen. our cars have 7 lbs. more torque than they do so thats something to remember.
Rsxtc, i never said AT THE WHEELS. I SAID WHEN IT COMES OUT THROUGH THE FLYWHEEL
I am lost on the 7th gen rsx the throttle body faces up, i thought it faced sideway like on the 2003 civic si. I need verification who thinks the 5 speed ex can beat the 2002+ rsx(base)?

AEM CAI vs. Hayame SRI (You have the "better" brand here)
Magnaflow vs. DC tcs (Both companies make quality stuff)
HP header vs. DC header (I'm gonna have to go with DC on this one)
You mentioned that you were talking about FLYWHEEL horsepower. Assuming that you claim to obtain 18 FLYWHEEL hp from your mods, a 15% drivetrain loss would mean that you're putting about an extra 15.3hp to the WHEELS from your mods alone. Hahahahaha...
Like I said before, don't bull$hit yourself.
Since you trust AEM's dynos so much, would you care to give me an explanation as to why their V2 intake shows lower gains over the CAI?
youre going with DC header over HP? what are you on crack? HP Header get THE BEST gains for our cars, DC gets half a horsepower.
as far as why the AEM site says the V2 gets less HP than the V1. had you ever thought that mabey theyre telling the truth? and you said something about the price difference, why would they change the price for our cars when you know the D16 would probably get more HP from the V2 than the V1. its just opposite with the D17. it's more or less a mixed relationship. and why would you not believe an exhaust and header would get 9 hp to the flywheel? if the AEM site is telling the truth, then my theory would be more or less correct.
and dont kid yourself, DC makes crappy prodcuts. the only thing they make good would be the TCS and their interior dress up ****. they charge too much for all of their parts. they charge $100 for their stainless steel header over their ceramic header. thats how ****ed up they are.

I know DC isn't the best company in the world, but you missed my point. Your HP header *might* make 1 horsepower over the DC. Still, that's only 1 hp. I'm not going to argue with you over the numbers you think your car puts out because it's pointless. Even members here will agree with me that it's fairly hard to extract hp from the D17 w/ BPUs
Get your ride to a dyno, prove that you're making 15whp w/ your current mods, and I'll be more than happy to shut up.

I'll be impressed if you even make close to 8-10whp.
And why should I give you $70 to confirm what I already know? You're only gonna end up dissapointed at the numbers...

because im broke and i really want to buy a new shift ****
im saying youve got something jammed your *******. whats your god damn problem anyway?
alright. rsx and si are faster for sure. 6th gen civic, neglegable. I've never lost to one and i've run em a few times. but maybe i'm just a better driver. they make the same hp, a little less torque and are a little lighter. it should be pretty damn close. what does a 6th gen EX pull stock for an et? low 16? probably

Auto RSX will lose to a 5 speed EX given equal drivers. Albeit will be close.
5 speed vs 5 speed the RSX will win.
As for i/h/e civic vs RSX base 5 speed, it will probably be close, but the rsx will probably still edge out the civic.
Can we all stop the pissing match now?

this girl i used to date about a month ago has a base rsx auto, it has the sport-tronic whatever transmission. But i drove it once just normal and I didn't think it was really that much faster than my civic and i have a cai and catback.

as for u rsx, i dont need to talk on here about how slow my car is, i pretty much dont know what im talking about, and ive never driven a civic in my life, my car is a wreck, not

Well, i beat the 02 Si and they have the same motor with closer gear ratios so I say that 33hp at the flywheel isnt really that much, Drivers Race.
FYI: i beat the 02 si off the launch, the new K20 base motors are very weak 2nd gear. I beat it by half a car. Not too much, but braggin rights for me. and it was when my car and the si was BONE STOCK.
Thnx Peace.

I beat the RSX 5 speed. "Well , he was not f*cking racing!" Maybe, but his tires were squeling at the start and the second gear."He was poor driver!" . That is easy to say. I beat SI, I beat RSX , you do not believe me, I don't give a ****! Stock RSX vs stock EX , if the drivers are equal, RSX would win. But for $4000 difference, RSX is piece of expensive ****!(I paid 14500 for my brand new 2002 Civic EX with destination fee, if you don't believe it, try kissing your own ***, might help, and turn you into believer!
I am sick and tired of those Base RSX and SI owners trying to prove how better their cars are. Freaking clowns!
"Hmmm, my car has 33 horse powers more, well I admit it is kind of behind from the start, because it's a little bit heavier. Believe me, it will catch the **** up at 70 mph, but oh well, I drive 70 mph all the time!"
This reply is for BASE RSX and SI clowns.Others, do not be offended by my opinion.
Dont waste your time swearing at me cause I am not gonna come back to this topic, THIS IS WASTE OF TIME!
