Ok, before I tell of the actual race, I need to set this up a bit first. I moved up here to Louisville about a year ago to start college. I only live about an hour from where I grew up so I went to see some family and friends about 4 months ago. I went to Wal Mart to pick up some stuff when I see a friend of mine hanging out with a bunch of people all driving imports and such in the parking lot so I stop. To make a long story short these three guys in a black 4 door 7thgen keep driving by revving up and talking ****, well someone finally blocks them in and one of the guys in parking lot runs over and kicks this kids altezza in, he about started crying and I felt a little bad cause the guy that was talking all the **** and driving, it wasnt even his car, and his buddy was about in tears.

So now to yesterday and the encounter. This kids car has a massive, like at lest a foot high silver double decker wing, loud *** exhaust, some weak rims, and a "R" emblem he stuck under his right tail light. Im waiting to pull onto the road and I see him drive by staring at me and my car, so I know the little choad gonna try to run me. I pull out and I slowly make my way past him, at which point he revs up in typical ricer fashion. Luckily for me we end up at a red light together at an intersection outside of a mall, so I knew wed be there for a minute. He starts revving up on me, so I turn around, reach back and open up the valve on my bottle. Im not in to street racing especially around that area as theres cops and a lot of people. So I motion for him to roll down his window. His buddy starts talking trash about how he has more under the hood of his car than mines worth, yada, yada, yada. I just tell him he doesnt wanna race me at which point he revs again. Its worth mentioning that Im driving a 5 speed EX, hes in an auto, not sure of the model. I put it into first and rev it up to 3k for the launch. The light turns green and I punch it. It was funny to me that they were talking so much crap and I immediately lept ahead straight off the line, wasnt even really a race, I didnt need to spray but I did it just to reitterate that I wasnt interested in racing him and for good reason. By the time I hit third, I stopped spraying and really didnt even notice how far back he was. I came to another light and stopped, he eventually crept back up in the lane next to me but stayed back at my trunk. I turned around and asked what happened, he just looked at me for a second and then turned away. They were what I think everyone would consider the defining examples of ricers. Sorry for the lengthy post, but thats my street encounter.

thats a nice story, its funny how those ricers behave. i think i would have enough courage to atleast pull up to you and be curiouse what u had under ur hood, but i guess they crapped their pans and didnt wanna have u notice the smell or something...

congrats on the race! i raced a black sedan about a month ago on the sr51 north, dumbass decided to run up on my *** then switch lanes and almost hit two other cars, kids cant take losing.

right now im running the 55 shot, unretarted. (i love talking about timing). Im running it on copper plugs 2 degrees colder. I FINALLY found a good shop, its in Indiana but theyre awesome nonetheless. Were gonna start working on the internals, my goal is to build an engine to run strictly nitrous, I wanna run a 100 shot safely. The way I figure it, for the money I would invest in a turbo, I can spend a fraction and get as good, if not better gains, and it should be easier on the little d17 to handle. Im getting some pics of my setup soon for another member of the board, ill float them to you as well if youre interested.

i rev on ricer out cars all the time. I drive a 94 civic sedan auto and i just rev on them. hopefully they rev back and i rev back but i dont take off at the light like they do, I just drive like normal and laugh. haha.

Friday night I saw some 92 accord lx with a drop, fart can, APC stickers, Flexivity stickers, and a huge wing. I revved on him once while this dude in a van made fun of his car. Then whe nthe light turned green the guy in the accord rode my bumper. He got next to me at the next light and I revved on him again. This time he revved like 5 times and i was just laughing. Then some primered black integra with a alum wing revs also. The light turns green and they both take off. haha. Again, I drive like normal laughing my *** off and cheering on the Integra that beats the accord down the street. I gave the guy a thumbs up and what does he do? He flips me and my friend off. I guess my VENOM and NOS stickers pissed him off.
