Ever get hit by a motorcycle? I have... (pics)
About 2 weeks ago I was just cruising along on a nice day, with the windows down, enjoying my ride and enjoying the spring weather. I had just bought some BleechWhite (best stuff for cleaning tires, btw) and I was on my way home to wash my car, like I do every week. Crossing an intersection, out of nowhere, came some jerk on a motorcycle and bashed into the rear quarter panel of my car. I really don't understand people on motorcycles these days. They're constantly complaining about how auto-drivers just aren't careful enough, and don't pay enough attention, and drive too sparadically. I'm so tired of it. Almost EVERY TIME I see some jerk-kid on a motorcycle he's either going WAY too fast, slipping between traffic where he shouldn' t be, or flying by people in breakdown lanes. And a combination of the afore mentioned is exactly what this kid was doing when he hit me. A 20 year old low life that didn't even have a motorcycle license. He only had a permit! For Christ's sake, get your license and learn to drive the thing before you start tooling around in it. Anyhow, he was ok. Not hurt at all, and my car was badly damaged in a hard-to-fix area. Everything was decent because the kid kept admitting it was his fault and saying, "Man, i can tell you take care of your car and put a lot of time into it, don't worry, i have insurance, we'll get everything fixed for you." So, ok, he's being cool about, and luckily I had witnesses pull over and also tell the cop the same thing. That he was driving like an A-hole. All of that said and done, I drove home nearly in TEARS. I've done 95% of the work on my car MYSELF and I have a decent amount done. I even put the entire body kit on myself, so when I saw him hit it, I nearly fainted.
Now for the cream: I get home from work Monday morning to hear that HE filed a claim AGAINST ME. Can you believe it? After all the "don't worry buddy, we'll get it taken care of," he had the AUDACITY to file a claim AGAINST ME!? Ridiculous. Luckily I have HIM admitting it was his fault on the police report, and the TWO witnesses' report also. The insurance company is still trying to figure out who's fault it is, but hopefully the police report will sway them more in the right direction.
Anyway, I'm just venting. For those of you who don't recognize me, I came from the old site and pretty much stopped posting when they made the transition to the new style. It was really slow at first and hard to navigate, and I got really busy with school. I pretty much stopped posting, but I'm giving it another shot to see if I can get used to the new layout now that school's over.
For those of you that DO recognize me, since I last posted I installed a body kit. The Type-RS front lip, Aero Sides, and Original OEM Rear. Really sharp. I'll have some pictures up later on, I took some really great ones in a graveyard before the accident.
Until then, here are some pics of the car after the accident. And yes, that wheel is badly damaged. Sorry about it being so dark, I took the pictures at night, but you can get an idea of the damage.
For the stuff you can't see, there is damage on the trunk also from where he fell on it.
They are large images, so I made links to them instead of posting them directly into the thread. 56k beware.

Nothing's worse than walking out to my car everyday and seeing that damage. It's like waking up every morning to see your kid with a broken arm after the school bully beat him up. Makes you want to kill someone...

He didn't file a claim against you, you filed a claim with his insurance company, which then contacted your company to check out the story and let them know what happened .... his company will end up paying for his damage and yours ..... especially if you have a police rpeort and witnesses

Hey welcome back. (didnt you have the green helmut dude as your avatar?) Sorry about the accident though. Sounds like everything should be fine though. You have witnesses and police reports on your side.

If the bike guy has to go to traffic court and pay the fine, at that point his insuance company should sette rather quicly. If he turned in a claim, all you need to do is get your estimates and take them to his insurance company and get your money.
