Well, my friends and I were coming back from Laser Tag and we hit a light. Just me and him.

He has a mid-90s Jetta GL 5 speed, I have the 2002 Civic Ex Auto.

So, the light on the opposite side turns amber....I torque brake a little. I hear him revvin.

The light turns and we're even off the start, surprisingly enough. Mid first gear he springs ahead, and by mid 2nd were even. Once we got to 70 I was a full car length on him.

Yeah I know, not very interesting or whatever, but I figured Id post anyway

well, i guess it was good he had a stickshift, even though i would think that a stick would have an advantage over your auto, but that doesnt really matter i guess. congratz i bet it was fun.

oh, did u ever notice how quickly u actually reach 70? i mean it fells like its in no time .

talk about getting to 70 fast...

I'm used to flooring my car through 1st and 2nd and shifting into third and being at about 50 mph....not speeding too badly....

Then I drove my friends 200sx SER with a SR20DET....on the dyno he puts down 250hp 250ft/lbs....floor his car the same as mine and suddenly I'm doing 80 mph....oooooh crap....look out for cops...
