Talking Sentra Type R, You have to be kidding!

This kid and his woman took it upon themselves to run me last week on a Sunday afternoon.
Near as I can tell he had a muffler and some nice wheels but not much else of importance. Needless to say that time when he pulls up on a 2K1 Civic with a TCS and loads of other visble mods he won't be so quick to embarasse himself!

Not even close!

huh you smoked an se-r? i hope you're talking about a new cuban cigar....cuz i know you aint doing in your civic short of turbo, sc'ed or spraying....i really think you would have a tough time beating a slushbox base se-r model....thats if you are talking about the b15 models.

good thing they changed the seats in the 03s the 02s looked like carnival tents wrapped around the seats hehehe... if nissan were to restyle their SE-R, i'd jump on one right away! but now the exterior is pretty plain and too old-looking to me

but heck how can you go wrong with all that power in a car that's around the same price as our vics?

He means the SRT-4 neon, and it will hand you SPEV-V it's ***. That neon is damn fast, and yes he could have beat a SPEC-V, if the driver wasn't that good at driving it.

You can beat any vehicle if the driver isn't that good.

You can go wrong because its a pieace of sh*t. Yeah it may be fast and powerful, but I know several people that had to have the tranny replaced as well as other things several times under 50,000 miles on them Read consumer reports and other reports on those things and they'll say not very reliable. All you'd be buying is a fast piece of sh*t.

Their boards say the same thing about us, but they use the words "slow, piece of ****". It is all a matter of what you drive, he thinks his car is godly and can take everybody on here, and some people on here think the same thing about their civics

Acutually no I was being completley subjective and not biased. I'm not one of these people that sits around and says, my car is the best and yours is crap. I've read reviews, and consumer reports, and you can't go wrong with consumer reports. Yeah of course their going to think they're cars are great because they own them. But I've spoken to several owners who have expressed their frustration with the damn car. The two cars I owned before my civic were pieces of crap. I owned them, and yes I still though they were a piece of crap. The civic is a good car, not just by my standards, but by consumers and the industries. Yes they may call are cars crap, but thats more along the lines of performance and our car is not a performance vehichle. I never said the SE-R didn't peform. It does perform, and performs well, its just has a lot of problems in the overall reliability and endurance of the vehicle.

all the problems were fixed...thats why there arent any problems...the tranny is the same tranny they put in the maxima....the engine problems were fixed with new piston rings and seals....of course there arent gonna be a perfect trail of no lemons within a manufactured car...but that goes for any car made

IF you are talking about a regular SE-R, I might be able to stomach it. If it was a Spec V I cry:zbsflag:. Either mom didn't know how to drive or you were racing and she wasn't.

Edit_I've seen a Spec V chirp through 3rd. I've never seen a Civic ,Si or not ,do that.

i like all cars....im not on either band wagon..i like cars period....just because i drive an se-r doesnt mean i think its the godly creation of all cars...its good performance for the buck yeah...but if i ever came across as the se-r being the end all of all cars i sure do apologize because that was not my intention...i visit this board frequently even though i didnt post...i still read...whats wrong with learning about other cars?....i still think its a base se-r with automatic...they are still capable of high 15's stock with a good driver...well an excellent driver...but mostly around 16flat which is pretty close to a good driver in an civic...i still think the base se-r w/ 5 speed would be too much to handle for the civic with basic mods....oh yeah the other day i saw an mx3 with an sir badge...

There really isn't much difference between the Spec V and Base right? Like 15hp? The difference isn't too much to cry over... either way, a standard/auto base or spec V will kill our civics (with a decent driver)

Base SE-R =165 hp, 5 speed
SE-R Spec V =175 hp, 6 speed, LSD

That would make a considerable difference even with a bad driver.
