I did some runs today on a (relatively) flat road with my stopwatch. I know it's not scientific. I have an auto EX with K&N FIPK. I was on the last tick mark or two of gas.
Run 1:
Normal
0-60: 10.8 seconds
Run 2:
Power Braking from 3k rpm
10.4 seconds
Run 3:
Normal
0-30: 4.4 seconds
0-60: 11.1
I only have 0-30 for the last run because I forgot my watch had a lap timer until the last run. Oops.
So, I'm not sure how they actually do 0-60 times. I stopped on the road, and then floored the gas and started the stopwatch at the same time my foot began to depress the pedal.
I stopped the watch as soon as my needle became even with the 60mph mark. Not as soon as it touched it, but as soon as it was even with it.
Booo, 10 seconds blows ***. I'm sure you guys with MT's could get a second or so better, even if you don't launch, since MT's put more power down to the ground.

That's about right. My automatic averages about 10.2 seconds with stopwatch or with gtech tests. Does about 18 seconds for 1/4 mile. I've proabaly time 0 to 60 more than 12 times on different days.

Gosh... the autos are really that much slower??? I've repeatedly run 7's (7.8 was the fastest ever) with my stick... I knew they were slower, but not by 2 seconds.

The funny thing about the humvee is that it only makes like 165 HP, but it puts out like 360 FT/LBs of torque at like 2K RPMS
Note: These numbers may be wrong...they're from memory...

Talk about engine efficiency....... 6.5 Litre Turbo Desil engine.........only makes like 165 HP, but it puts out like 360 FT/LBs of torque. RSX type-S engine makes 100hp per litre. IMO the hummer is worthless on the street.
i timed my friends auto eclipse gs w/ injen cai and it was 11.6 or something, cant believe our 127hp 1.7L autos can beat 147hp 2.4L autos...thats interesting. and yes, he used slapstick. and we did it like 2 or 3 times and it was all pretty much the same.

Yeah, the manuals get up to 60 pretty fast. But I can only get up to like 55 before I red 2nd. The shifting to 3rd just add extra milliseconds... =) Either way, we still own you autos!
