cops almost own me twice

cops almost own me twice
...in 1 day.
floor it on the straight part (up to 70 mph) of rt 6 and a cop zooms up and follows me for a little. i casually cut across 2 lanes and pull onto some side street. mind you this was at 40 mph so i got the slow motion glare of death when i made the quick turn.
then
rolling through town to my house and i downshift to 2nd to make a turn. cop going the other direction stops and looks over. my response: "oh crap" and i pull a 50 mph through town.
im guessing the ricemobile attracts waaay too much attention. anyone get cops following them around and all that when they go out for a spin?
side note: I AM NOT ADVOCATING RUNNING FROM THE POLICE...trust me i got pulled over doing 90 and running from the cop that was chasing me.
