Exclamation Red Line... whos affraid

so when ur driving around from a long day at work, hangin with family, or shopping with the girl, u see a long open road perfect to get rollin up to 100... do u do it? do u actuly take ur car to that red line by that number 7, before shifting up to go faster, steping down on that gas pedel??? or are u the type that rolls around in a phat a$$ looking civic who most would think can rip the street up, but u dont u sit there and drive like an old gramma looking for her bingo hook up.....
witch are u?

I used to drive like that a while back. Ever since I got the kit put on I think its more fun to cruise around kinda slow and turn some heads. Now thats not sayin I don't drive the hell out of my civic anymore.

the red-line shift is a fun thing to do in the morning on the highway on my way to work, no better way to wake up. And also no better sound to wake up to either

Although I have never seen a factory LX dyno chart, but the car feels as if power is tapering after 5500......

i agree to this statement, after 5500 it makes me wanna get out and push lol. actually because of this i have begun shifting slightly before that. i find i get better 1/4 time as well. my fastest only being a 16.9 (maybe i just suck) what's everyone's fastest times? oh and my car was completely stock when i had made that run. never got it again, its always like 17.1-17.3.

Yeah, I find myself shifting at 6K a lot of the times during a race. For fun, I'll put up the extra revs though... Honda claims max pwr comes on @ 6100 though.

Ill redline every once in a while, but i almost always shift at 4000-4500 anyway. I just wish 1st wasnt so flippin short, my engine is screaming and im not going anywhere. 2nd is my fav gear to redline by far. Just waiting in 2nd at like 3000 then punchin it makes my slow car feel a little fast

damn man just readin that made my car slower. why is it that the real hp numbers aren't said on cars like how supposedly the lx comes 117 when its really around 80? i heard this guy went and dyno'd his jeep i think it was a 4.0 turns out he had like 85 hp =\

hey mike0404 whats your best 1/4 mile time? did you install a cat converter? or left it without?

I redline when I'm racing around on the twisty streets around where I live or when I feel like having some fun, most of the time I shift from 1st at 20 MPH or 4000 RPMS, then fromd 2nd to 3rd/4th at 40 or 4000 RPMS, then sit around in 4th or 5th.

I drive an HX BTW
