Last Gen 5-Series
I was coming home from work yesterday and I came upon an RSX-S at a light and used a merge lane to get behind him. We travelled down the on ramp to I-95 and as we're hitting the freeway, i downshift as usual and give him a little push, to see if he's up for it. I was in 3rd @ 40, not too aggressive, but i didn't want him to smoke me in case he took off (for those of you who don't know i have a US Si). So he eventually gets up to speed, and it doesn't look like he's going to bite. There is light traffic ahead, so whatever. Then in my rearview i see BMW lights creepin at a good clip. Not to be outdone, i switch lanes in front of him to let him know i'm there. The RSX is still not biting, so i'm not worried about him anymore. The beamer and i jockey through the little bit of traffic there is, and he ends up in front of me, it's a 530. We are in the 2nd from left lane, and i see an opening coming up in the far right lane (four lanes), you know when you can tell, so i pre-emptive downshift to 3rd @65... anyway, he sees it too, and as soon as he makes his move, i hammer it. the first lane change was fun at that speed with acceleration, i was impressed with how my car handled it. he pulled on me a little in 3rd, and we just kept climbing through fourth and fifth, and we hit 120. He kept flying, but my exit was coming up, so i tapped. I love riding with BMWs, they look SOOOOO good.

thank you S2K man...
and in my defense, i was on I-95, the largest and most expensive interstate on the east coast, on a section that i drive every day, with minimal traffic. and i was not "racing" the BMW to get ahead of him, i just wanted to see how my car would take it. damn...
let thee without sin cast the first stone...
