Had my first kill in my 02 SI!

Yesterday I was headed back to my house with my girl after gettign some dinner and I saw this 92-95 coupe LX or DX in the left lane ahead of me. I didn't think anything of it and was doing the speed limit and there was traffic in front of us. He going a little bit slower due to traffic in his lane slowing down. His coupe was nice looking. Had black 17s, slammed, lips kit and exhaust from what I could tell. It was a really clean coupe. Well the road where on has exits on both sides of the road. As I'm slowly passing him, I noticed the two guys in the car are looking over and checking out my SI. My SI is bone stock and doesn't even have 400 miles on it yet. Well all of the cars in front of us in both lanes merged to the exit ramps, so there was no cars at all in front of us. The speed limit is 55 and we where doing 45 due the cars exiting. Well as soon as all of the cars are gone, he down shifts into 2nd and it sounds like he dropped the tranny out too I'm still in 4th gear and I'm not going to be ruff with my SI sense its only got 346 miles on it. So I just give it a little gas and pulled away hard and let off about 70 and I saw him way back there. He never caught up with me. I couldn't stop laughing

dont worry about the break in. I believe that someone said that 300 miles is a ok break in. not sure though dont take my word for it.

When I bought the coupe I had, I beat from the day I had it. And I never had any problems out of it. I put 30,000 miles on it before I traded it in. I'm still being "easy" on my SI. But its so hard!!!! All I want to do it rip it through every single gear!!

Its been posted a while back, ill look into why i forget the exact reason...BUT you should break in your car right when you drive it off the lot!! Something about it sealing the rings for the pistons and if thats how your going to be driving you car in normal conditions its good to break it in when you get it.

NICE!!! I remember my first kill in my EP3, I had 700 miles on it when a damn mustang gt was next to me reving his motor at a red light. I had put my mid-pipe in a few days earlier. Light turned green, spun in 1st, spun a little in 2nd, and churped in 3rd. I had that damn v8 by over half a car length. It was so funny seeing him doing a ricer-fly-by when he lost, what toped it off was that he had altezzas .
