I once smoked a 7th gen (in my EX) cuz he was rocking back and forth at the light, and I guess he wasn't paying attention, so I took off first... I took it all the way to 80 then slowed down. I was surprised, though, cuz he was catching up real fast..

hey Pat, can you list some of the mods you've done?

edit: about the rocking back and forth thing. My friend used to do that when he got his new car and i figured
yay he got a stick, but then i saw his car and it was an auto - he told me he'd go from D to N and back and forth
to fool poeple - what a moron.

89 Mirage, I highly doubt He was racing you. With an 89 your Compression is probley S**T., Hell, I read after a Subaru WRX has 50,000 miles its down about 10 hp. So i figure with a 89, that you run the hell out of, youll be lucky to be putting down 100 WHP I mean why would you not have a 93- eclipes or talon?

ya i a normal s2k won't have a prayer against he mirage really thats the funny part

car is an original 1989 mirage turbo that came with the 4g61t motor a small brother to the 4g63(famous for being in dsms and evos). I have since swaped the motor to a 4g63. I removed the stock 14b turbo in favor of a big16g ported and matched it with a 95+ manifold because they flow better. 550cc injector controlled by the greddy e-manage. Spearco front mount. supra fuel pump. greddy boost guage greedy egt gauge. dsm pocketlogger runing on a m100 palm. car weights approx 2,335 with a driver and half a tank of gas. Also it has a 2.5" exhuast and down pipe no cat. laying the power to the ground are set of moddified gsx spring(made for a 3,500lb car) drop the car more than 2 inches with kyb agx adjustable struts. I have a road race engineering front solid state strut bar. k&n airfilter 2.5" ic pipes.
reloceted battery to trunk nice SS trunk battery box. No exterior modifcations to the car other then a little cuttin on the front bumper for the fmic.

this during the swap

this the engine now. don't worry about the hose its a return valve it inflates when air is pushed through and it sucks in because of negative pressure.
the motor during the rebuilt. standard rebuild but removed balanced shafts for more power and faster reving.

fmic some ppl say its small but the its a real nice spearco unit which cools 20g turbos nicely so its doing fine with my big 16g
another pic of it

actually man.. if u can find one of the rare turbo colts/mirage.. the drop is about the same as doing a b16 swap on the older civic.. heck the ecus will even run the 2.0 engine. there almost identicle. sensor wise. but the problem is finding a original turbo car in good shape. Some other little cool notes.. Stock the car comes with brembo rotors and calipers. They did haft to be replaced do to age but where replaced by brembo stopping power is good . I will be adding stainless steel lines and some good dot fluid and better pads to get it where i want it. also has racaro seats from the factory. telescoping steering wheel is another feature. again these options only came in the limited production of the turbo/mirages colts.

the comptech supercharged s2000 which weighs about 2900lb produces 340hp to the flywheel which is about 310 to the wheels.

The s/c s2000 is a pretty quick car.

yup hence why it would be a good race. my car produces about 300whp on normal 93 octane and 18psi. race gas upwards of 350whp.
