So im leaving work one day, cruising along and i stop at a light. This stock EX civic '01 '02 coupe pulls next to me. I notice hes in an automatic cause he looks down revs it and drops it back in to D. So i gotta race this guy now. Off the line i immediately take like 2 car lengths on him. And either this guy sucks at driving or something, cause he was in an auto, im in a manual with a non V-TEC motor. And i beat his *** through all the gears. Then i slow down not wanting to get a ticket or anything further along the road, and he does a fly bye, in which i drop it back into 3rd, and easily catch up and pass the ****er...
SRI and Catback help a **** load. Im surprised i beat his *** so much cause of the EX LX difference.

LX 115 hp EX 127 hp, Plus i wasnt that confident in my driving ability, thats why i figured i would get beat, cause all he basically has to do is stomp on it. He has the VTEC and stuff and i dont... so i thought he would beat me. But i guess not [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
well, "rated" hp and actual whp are 2 different things. There's only like 1-2whp difference between the EX and LX, and if he had an automatic and you have a stick, that difference goes straight down the toilet. and oh yea - VTEC means nothing - it's still a SOHC 1.7L[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]
