02 ex speed vs 93 probe gt

my friend has this 93 probe gt. it's pretty cool i guess....but he thinks he has the best car ever. so i raced him. i drive a 02 civic ex 5speed with an exhaust...him intake header exhaust wires blah blh blah. wow....i guess they are kinda pretty fast. beat me pretty good. then he let me drive it....might have to get one to play around with

Yea, the GT's do have some kick to them. But any other Probe would be an easy kill.

my girlfriend has a 95 SE Probe 5-speed. We havent offically raced, but weve pushed it getting onto the highway, and she keeps up really well. I have an EX 5-speed, with exhaust, and intake, and short shifter. I think the 1/4 would be close...i could beat her off the line, but 3rd gear in that car pulls....also...those cars handle really well. She can almost take turns as fast as me, and i have 17's with Yokohama ES100, TEIN coilovers, and DC strut bars. Just food for thought
Cheers

That's interesting, I think only 1 probe gt has ever even stayed near me, and he was right with me, I was amazed because I usually spank any prob, or celica for that matter that attempts to rear there heads... Only the one I've seen is fast, my first race was a prob when all i had was an intake, and against a corrolla too, they were amazed that I took both by 4 lengths without v-tec.... I don't have much respect for probes, maybe I should meet a turbo one, but I have respect for that one probe...

How do you launch and shift?

Thats funny, because on saturday I had a red probe with pink neons inside the car rev at me at a light. I don't know anything about probes so I was like what the hell. All I know is that he had exhaust and pink neons. I have a 5 spd lx with cat back and cai with some extra heavy stuff as stereo equipment, tantrums, bodykit, etc.. That kill was almost as easy as that paseo that talked **** to me awhile back.

the best probes where the old GT's with the turbo engines. those could be made to be quick. or u could slap some kind of FI on a newer one i am sure it would make it quick. however stock GT probes are slow..

Yea,the older turbo probe was pretty fast, close to a 6thgen si I think. Ugly as hay and pieces of junk though.

The last gen of probes came with v6 engines in the gt model. I think those are roughly equal to a 6thgen si as well. However, they were also pieces of junk.
