I had one with a golf one time. I had one keep trying to race me, so finally he flew around me and when he was about 3 cars ahead I decided to punch it. I caught right up to his bumper, but i didnt try to pass him....just rode his *** with my brights on like he was doing me....pay back is a biatch..lol I'm sure I would have won from a dead stop.

Rep Power: 339 Yeah, a lot of times. Mine is a LX though. Jetta's and Beetles usually like to bug me. The "opposition" is usually automatic and I have a 5 speed. Plus those things are about 300 lbs more than the LX. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG]

There is a 2001 Jetta 2.0 sitting in the garage right next to my Civic. There is not even a CHANCE of losing. I know this because it is very easy to test the theory when you have both of them and a brother who can drive. If you can't drive worth a ****, maybe you'll run even with them, but they're very slow.
Owned a golf, this guy was such a ricer- LED muffler and all.. plus he was fat, so no contest. [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]
edit: oh yeah, and my friend's jetta 2.0 also, except that she drives crazy normally, but i beat her in a race
