I have a feeling Civics attract too much attention, like some people just look for Civics on the street to race. I usually go about my business and too many times I have had people come next to me on the expressway for a little racing. Ironic enough, it's usually females. (I'm male). Corolla's, Beetles, Altimas, Galants, Grand Am's, oh yeah, Jetta's. However, I was driving home in the back streets by my house, going under speed limit, takin it easy and avoiding the pot holes, and this dude in a Galant swerves into my lane when I was moving aside to avoid one of those pot holes. So I end up going farther to the side than I would have liked. It was a freakin 2 lane road, no need to come to my lane. And there were no other cars around. So at the light I just HAD to take him. It was on an uphill slope starting from the bottom, had him by a half car length by the time I hit 60 so I slow down but he continues to gun it and cuts into my lane. For his craziness, he slips on snow that wasnt cleaned up but he managed to be ok and not hit anything.

Yea i get that all the time, like they feel threatened by our cars or sumthin[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG] There are these guys that live by my friends house that have a seafoam green 6th gen 4 door civic all stock with racing stripes & yellow radioactive stickers & a big *** civic sticker on the windshield. They are always working on it, & everytime I drive by they all stand up with thier arms crossed & stare me down like they r gonna kick my *** or sumthin, like 5 or 6 guys, WTF??? Everytime I see that I cant help but laugh my *** off cuz they think ther all bad with all their stickers & racing stripes on a green 4 door, with hubcaps[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]

Sometimes its more fun to rev at them and then take off normal and then watch them do something stupid.

that is def true how people are always trying to race civics.........everywhere i go.......i get reved at......get provoked by fly-bys and hazards......i wonder if its the same people that are always saying are cars are slow......and always wanna race......get off our nuts

Although I wont waste gas to rev at someone, but it would be fun to watch the other person peel away their tires and smoke their clutch or damaging their torque converters. You know what is funny though, watching teens in their parents car, filled with 6 people in a Camry etc, stuffed and all and still trying to race. Some of those ppl just keep lookin all over the place like they never seen a Civic or been outside before. haha

Exactly, poeple are wierd like that, I had a corolla with 2 guys in it pull a fly by on westhiemer, I hate that.... So immediatly I burned up to him, he pulls the "I wasn't doing anything" routine, so i keep going, he does it again, i pull up i smoke him, and then we get to the hwy 6 light, i rev they just look stupid so i didn't go at the light, but gee guess who does.... lol

So after he get about 6 care lengths away I drop it and blow past him in about 4 or 5 seconds , fly right by the stupid bastard and went to hit the hazards, looked over at freind and said, ah I wont give them the pleasure, U-turned and smiled...

good story, pointless but there none the less, but I found an accord after that, it was the only 2 that did anything the entire nite, I was bummed out...
