well i was coming home from my girls house minding my own biz as i usally do in my 16 sec civic....lol. And this kid in his new bimmer pulls up next to me at the light....his windows are all tinted so i can't see in....i don't think anything of it.....he guns it off the light and gives me the hazards...i was like o god this kids a loser.....but of course i bit on his bait.......i caught up to him and at the next light he rolls the window down and asksme if i wanna go.....he had a girl in the car and she says o my god and starts laughing.....so we do the dance.....i think he had an automatic.....but anyway to make a long story short......off the line we were neck a neck.......when i shifted into second i didn't chirp which is weird.....b/c i usally chirp when i push the car......but anyway we were next to each other the whole way all the way up to 100mph exactly......after i hit 100 he went in front of me......we hit regular traffic and he rolls his window down..........hes like yo man my friends in the backseat and his friend sticks his hand out the window......i was like o god.......he won and was still making excuses cause it was so close......i stayed wit em till 100 though fellas!!!!

The 320i's aren't that fast w/ 168 horses they do 0-100km/h in about 8.7secs. Also if it's an auto it'll be even slower.

Maybe not, but they are faster than the Civic coupe. I don't care how you argue it, 170hp compared to the Civic's 130hp (+/-), it shouldn't even be a race. But, with 3 people vs. only 1, and if it was an auto, then yeah I could see it.

318i = low/mid 16 second car (manual)
323i = high 15 second car (manual)
325iS = high15/low16 second car (manual)
328i = mid/high 15 second car (manual)

Throw a slushbox in any one of these and watch the times go up....

Now, sounds like no matter how you argue it, hp means jack by itself. There's many other factors to consider. Don't just spew BS, and assume a 130hp civic is slower than a 170hp 3 series.

like i said there was 3 people in the car vs. 1 that make a big diff....and he still won....it did take till 100 though.....
i know the body style before the new ones even had a 4 cylinder version.....i raced on of those too....my boy had it and they are slow as ****.....poop i mean sorry
