Top Speed?
Just wondering if anyone has a higher top speed than mine. Im talkin top speed w/out the bottle....any other mods, cool. I have a CAI and I hit 127 (goin down a slight hill) on Saturday night.
i hit 115 mph late one nite on the hwy. there were no cars in like 2 miles so i jsut went and when i was doing 115 i got scared going that fast so i slowed down. thats the fastest ive been.

The fastest I've been is 115.

Rep Power: 0 I'm guessing, based on everyone's responses, that the diff trims have diff speeds. I have an EX and I definately got above 120.....I just dont think my car has anything more than 127. Maybe some of the others, LX,DX,HX have limiters. The fact that they dont have as much power probably has something to do with it too.

Rep Power: 0 My EX definatly has a limiter, driving down an empty highway one late night, I could get around 115 doing about 6000rpm and all of a sudden it would kick back to about 4000rpm and would just mantain speed.. Couldn't really get it above 120 on a slight decline..

Rep Power: 0 I hit the limit at 127...stupidest thing I've ever done...never gonna do it agian. Don't go that fast on public roads...its just not safe...even if you think your all alone.

Rep Power: 0 175km/h, i dont know how much that is in miles, but much slower than ur times. 1, there were too many cars approaching. 2. My car seems to be like hovering around 175, and 3rd i pussies out

Rep Power: 0 Yep it takes a while to get up to that top speed. I was on the way home from Florida and there is this real open stretch on I 59. All I had ahead were 3 big trucks pretty well spaced out. So I started winding up and flew by the trucks, and heard them on the CB saying that little car is really flying. I got up to the 125 mph and then had to let off to slow down for my exit. Lucky for me because just after I exited I heard the CB saying there was a state cop headed south right at the interchange. Lucky me. I don't make those long, drug out top end runs with the Civic much anymore. Covers too many miles and too much chance of getting caught for felony speeding.

Rep Power: 0 yeah, i can't get over 118-120. one night i was coming home and there were no cars on the road so i decide to top it out. i got to 118-120 and i couldn't go any faster, believe me, i tried. I tried everything (even shifting my body weight back and forth)
obviously that didn't work...but i was sitting there going about 119 for like 3 minutes. Oh yeah, i have a 2001 civic ex with intake, exhaust and header.
