Autocross with 84 Camaro V8

I went autocrossing with my bud today. He's got a 84 Camaro V8 with everything redone, especially the suspension. Just on the suspension, he's got springs, struts, control arms, every kind of bar ever made, etc. etc. I know he's got a hella lot more weight, but he's pushing 270hp. Anyways, my 02 EX is stock and I put down the same times as him. All the turns were perfectly between first gear and second gear turns, so I couldn't pick up after the turns very well. I bet I lost most of my time on that. Anyways, if you wanna go autocrossing against a heavy sports car, you could probably kill them even running stock. Buuut, we had a stealth and a prelude there that laid down the good times. Prelude was stock and the stealth had a strut tower, a midpipe dump, and what looked like 18" mitsubishi wheels. I think anything bigger than those cars should be breakfast for the civics.
