My friend was driving his moms Z3 so after work hes behind me and we are getting on the freeway.....we turn at the same time and he tries to get me on the inside. by the time we got on the freeway (about 80mph) i had him by about 5 lengths. This bmw had the small motor (134hp) and a borla cat back.

what do you have done to your car?? was his auto?? prolly auto....becuase he has the same engine has my 318is and his car is lighter than mine. His car has 138 stock wit 130lb/ft tq.......his car is prolly lighter and more power......bmws are geared better for higher speed due to the fact that they were made for the autobahn. I have raced a 5 speed civic ex with aem cai and an exhaust i forgot what kind the kid is a friend of mine and we raced from like a 5 mph roll till about 90 i had no problem with him....as soon as we gunned it i pulled a quick half a car and as the mph rose so did the gap between our cars. I have a custom cai intake with ram air and heatshield, jimc ecu chip, and bosal brospeed catback exhaust with my spare tire and jack removed but i do have my heavy w6's weighing me down oh and my car is stick. Maybe you guys didnt gun it at the same time or he gave up early or his car was auto with his ac on. Sorry i kno a race is a race and a win is a win but jus seems kinda hard to beleive.

Nope, hes my best friend. 5 speed..had the top up so i dont know about the AC but he never caught up. hes getting a 1999 323 5 speed (his 5.0 got jacked) hes upset that he lost to me.[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] he may have not been hard on it right away like i was but it wasnt really even close. My car is all stock but the everything from the front seats back is gone (putting in sound deading) i usually dont have a problem staying on his butt thru traffic though

you should be able to hang with his 323 too, there not that fast. Before somebody accuses me of bashing bimmers hang on cuz my friend has a 95 m3 with an e46 euro motor and he lets me hit third gear before he takes off and about 110 he's passin me.
