well i was driving to my new office building durring my lunch break just now...
i was going about 80+ mph, on the Florida Turnpike...
there was this big dumpster truck about 1/2 a mile in front of me...as i was approaching him i had to get behind him cause my exit was comming up!

all of a sudden i see red drops start hitting my window.i was like WTF!
i though there was like a dead body gonna fall on my car...so i was looking throught the sunroof and nothing!

then i see behind the dumpster...now like at 60mph!
these flakes for red paint...and i was like HELL FU.CK NO!

so down shifted and went around this MO FUGGER in the emergency lane...got to the new building site, RAN OUT THE CAR...and what did i see???

MILLIONS OF RED FU.CKIN DOTS!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

get the hose....
bring a bucket....
get me some rags.....
get me some soap...
hurry hurry!

so yea...i spent my whole fu.cking lunch time cleaning my car...some of it had dried already and it was a mission to get it off!
when i get home im gonna have to wash it again!
i didnt even bother with the headlights and the front winshield cause its glass and that easy to take off!

i had to clean...the roof, hood, front bumper, rear-view mirrors, alteeza grill(PAIN IN MY AZZ!)

so yea, i had a great sweaty lunch today!
(mind you its like 80 degrees and humid as hell)

DAMNIT! well whatever..had to vent! watch out for those dump trucks!
(no i didnt get the tag the name nothing! i was to busy trying to pass him! and clean my car!)

Try Clay Bar (found at pepboys, kragen, etc for around $10)

or the paint thinner (ask in home depot, some are actually safe on cars).

Did you get the company number or anything? They can pay for the damages. Why should you have to suffer?

If you get his plate number can't you hold the company responsible? Might be the same law that says if a dumptruck doesn't have a cover and something comes they have to pay damages. Could be worth looking to, I'd be pissed too.

that sucks. I don't know what's worse - red paint or nicks in the paint from rocks....I've got plenty of those.

Don't sweat it. Just get some cleaner wax. It'll come off easily. DO NOT use a clay bar unless it's not coming off any other way.

Use some polish after you use cleaner wax, then use some carnuba wax to protect it.

Next time something like that is happening to you, write the plate down, call the company. They'd rather settle privately than have their insurance go up by reporting them legally.

heh yeah that sux...... similar thing happened to me
expect my car got pegged by a rather large sheet of
sheet metal........ some f*****g flatbed with building materials
dropped some of the **** on the road and it went everwhere
I was like 3 cars back and it bounced once and came straight for my windshield
so I swerved into the emergency lane(luckily I was in the left lane)
with all kinda cars around me, but I got hit in the fender and then the sheet scrapped
down the side of my door..... left a small dent and scratch in the fender and scrapped
paint off the door and some of the metal...... yeah I was pretty pissed

the same type of thing happened to me, except I don't know exactly when
I hadn't washed my car in a few weeks because it kept raining, but I took it through a drive-thru car wash today cuz it was driving me nuts...so I come home, and I'm going over my car with a quick mist detailer, and I see all these little white specs on my driver-side door (i have a red car)...and I freak out, cuz it's all along both sides of my car! it's hard to see from afar, but up close, it's all over...

so I call my dealership, they say they're too busy...call another dealership...they're too busy...go to parts plus and pick up some bug & tar remover and some clay magic (because someone suggested it above)...i first tried 3 different cleaner waxes...none of them worked...bug & tar remover...no good...then I tried the clay magic last...worked like a charm!

it's too dark for me to continue, but I'm gonna finish up probably on new years day gettin' the rest of the little specs off...quite a lesson learned!
