you sure it was a WRX? In fact, I don't think the WRX comes auto, unless it's in the wagon form. Maybe it was a 2.5RS?

Rep Power: 345 i was on the highway and i flew by a WRX doin about 100 (didnt see him till i passed him) and he caught up to me and just flew by me, then my car topped out and he was gone. Then he slowed down and laughed at me and i gave him the

your car tops out at 100 mph? you might want a mech to check your ride out n see whats wrong.
wrxs are great off the line with awd (stick ones anyway...unless you neutral drop an auto). top end isnt all its cracked up to be however. im pretty sure it was an wrx...doubt it was 2.5. he wasnt playing around cause i heard him winding out 3rd gear (4 speed auto).

Rep Power: 0 for whoever claims 16 second 1/4 miles ha....my stock auto ran a 14.9 now i have boost controller midpipe and uppipe and no muffler jsut 3 inch to tip and i ran 13.9 mostly dude to the boost controller.....you wanna run me any ways it was prolly a 2.5rs

Anyway... I believe the only aesthetic difference is the hood scoop and the rims between the Impreza WRX and the Impreza 2.5RS. The RS doesn't have the scoop, and the rims aren't as nice.

80lb's heavier than the sedan, all 80 of those go to the rear (better weight distro), the car oversteers better with the same mods, and carries a lot more stuff. performancewise the two are nearly equal stock for stock.
