2k si vs 2k1 ex

from a couple lights at the usual chill spot.

2k si:
i/h/e
fuel rail (0 hp gain no other mods like better fuel pump and larger injectors)

2k1 ex:

i/h
aem underdrive pullies

(at the time of race)

whoever got the better launch won.

(short n to the point)

Civic as so closely matched no matter what model you get that it basically still comes down to the driver. Which is the way I prefer.

haha close race......yea right.......the 6th gen take better to mods and hes probably looking at around 180 with his mods......while you are looking at around 140......doesnt his car weigh less?......he has dohc.......doesnt he have better gearing and such?.........im sorry but it would take a real fat driver shifting into 4th a few times instead of second then str8 into 5th instead of 3rd a few times and it mite still be close. You guys on your ex vs si power trips need to stop making up numbers and looking at mod lists and just get their and race instead youll never know untill you race but if your racing sum1 with those mods on his car just dont put any money down.

I suppose If i raced a viper, pulled ahead for the first 100 feet because he was spinning his tires then shut down.. I could declair a win as well

If you raced a Viper up to 60 or 70 and beat him because he spun his tires, then yes you would be the winner. I think it's their fault if they don't know how to drive their car, but you do so you would win. Any ways my friend has a 99' Civic Si with i/h/e and he got a 16.2 in the 1/4 mile. If you did beat a Civic Si, then you must be a good driver, but I would believe it either way.

you must not know hondaguru/joeb16.
to clarify his sarcasm, you wouldnt be a winner. he would obviously want to race you again, then once he did he would leave you in dust. period.

i could race a fiesta and spin my tires at the launch and he could win the race too. cmon its a ford fiesta.

True, but if they had been at the track whoever got the better launch would automatically get a better start, and in the case of two civics racing everything is about who gets the more perfect run. I agree that if they raced again I think that the Si might have beaten him, but it would still be close unless he was spraying or had more mods. Basically all I'm trying to say is that racing is all about the driver.

tho a si does take well to mods, i raced 2 different Si's one was stock, one had a muffler i believe, i kept with bothof them in races.... so either im a godd driver, and they both sucked major ***, or its just a decent match. i have i/h/e and was on 17s with a sub in the trunk

No... at the track you are racing against the clock. Even if my RT was 16 seconds and U had passed the 1/4 mark by the time I started, that doesnt mean you are going to "win".

However, if you are spinning your tires you are going to be moving forward, just not as fast as if you were not spinning. However you would have tripped the light so it would register that you were already going down the track. All I was saying was that in any race if you spin your tires too much you will not do as good as you could have otherwise.

You want to spin your tires some.... you want them to launch you forward, yet hook up about when you would hit your powerband.

And RT starts on the last amber light, and ends when you move the first 2 feet. Regardless of whether your wheels spin or not.
