I was leaving work yesterday, when a new silver cougar caught my eye in the parking lot. I have a friend that owns one, and I know what her license plate says, so I walked around to the back of the cougar to see if it was hers. When I walked to the back, and saw it wasn't hers, I was about to turn away when the owner of the car approached.

Him: Hey, you like my car?
Me: Yeah, they're sharp looking cars. I have a friend who has one and thought that this might have been hers.
Him: Oh. Well they're pretty quick man.
Me: Yeah, I'm sure they've got some pick up to them.
Him: Yeah, I race for money all the time and win.
Me: Oh. At the street races?
Him: Yeah man. So what do you got?
Me: Heh, well I got my trusty civic over there.
Him: Is it tricked out?
Me: Noooo. It's going to be a stock sleeper. lol
Him: Yeah, civics are kinda slow, but hey maybe someday you'll own a cougar man.
Me: Right. Someday I'll own a cougar. (okay, so I said that kinda cocky and sarcastic... you know me... always startin ****)
Him: I got NOS on my cougar, just like they had in fast and furious. And green neon, just like Dom's civics.
Me: Well, don't follow the fast and furious, cuz they got a lot of stuff wrong in there.
Him: This one time (at band camp... no.. j/k lol) I ran these other 2 cars man, and they were winning, but then I NOS'ed them out at the end.
Me: (trying to hold back my laughter.... NOS'ed em out? haha... now NOS is a verb also) Right man, well I gotta go, so cya.

I get to my car, and watch him pull away in his full green neon blaze of glory and those little strobe brake light thingies too. Man, what people won't do or say these days.

I know what you're thinking... is that all you have to tell us?? Oh no.. there's more. Much more.

I'm on my way to a family party later and I'm haulin on the freeway. I see some headlights come up behind me, so I get outta the left lane (even if I am already doing almost 20 over) so they can pass. As the car goes by, I see it's a 6th gen civic. And the dude has neon that flashes as his bass hits. It's all over the damn car. Dash, tachometer, floor, EVERYWHERE. I'm surprised dude can even see, much less drive, considering he's not only blinded by neon, but also sitting in the back seat. (what is with that? every damn punk I see.... chillin in the back seat)

He's got a friend in the car, and he kinda looks over, but it's hard to see him really, because of the tinted windows. Well, that and the fact that I'm blinded like a friggin bird caught in front of a 747's headlights.

He goes by after pausing by my car momentarily, and I laugh as I now see he also has flashy things on his wheels. You know, those damn valve stem flashy things. (my friend got a ticket for doing a burnout in a parking lot once, but the only way the cop found him later was cuz he had those damn flashy things, and that's what the owner saw on his wheels, and told the cops that... hehe... busted)

I also laugh at the fact that every time his bass hits, his tailights dim and then brighten again. It's really pretty funny to watch. I move in behind him, following blinking tail lights the whole way, and eventually he moves over. I get up next to him, and give a little gas. He takes the bait and we go. It's battle of the 16 second cars baby! I slowly pull on him the whole time, and shut down at like 105mph with about 1 car on him. (for those of you wondering, after driving the S2k, it's an eternity waiting for my civic to get to 100... but hey, it did it!)

So that's my first 6th gen kill in my trusty civic.

But I'll be sure to watch out for them cougars.

Dude, I never meet people like that. I dont' know how you stay so nice and don't choke the $hit out of them for being so stupid.

That's a riot. Why don't you let them have whats coming to them anyways?


Also, my friend with the 2000 mustang got those damn blue led's on his valve stem crap. I smacked him hard for that one. He is such a disgrace. Is there anything I can do to get a cure for him?

To be honest, I just didn't want to go into the whole "my other car is an S2000" thing. It does me no good since it's not good weather to try to pull it out and show him anyways, and he'll get some of his own medicine someday, and realize what a fool he was. We all gotta learn.

well you should mention that the civic is the "winter beater" and that otherwise youd be cruisin in the s2k. its nice to rub it in their face. but hold up, was the guy in a new cougar or old ones? the old ones are fugly. nice kill with the sedan, dont you have a sedan? was the 6th gen a coupe or what? you always have the best stories. i swear i go to the street encounters forum when i am bored just to read your damn stories .

seriously man, if i were you, i would go to ABC or some tv network and sugest a new tv series with all your stories, call it " street encounters" the ratings on a show like that would be super, it would also boost the rice industry, think about it

I see guys like this all of the time also. I just don't say anything to them. I would choke them out or just end them j/k. I have a cousin that is a die hard mustang guy (domestic really). He just hates anything that is not "American". When he found out that I had a civic he started ranting and raving about "ricers, and all Japan" cars. "I can do anything to my mustang (with the right amount of money) to beat any rice car". I said, he miiight be right, but I look better and I would get better gas mileage. I really don't even like talking with him, just because he is so closed-minded about cars and what other cars out there are good even though they are from Japan.

i got so many strobe things inside my car man i cant see at night i look at other cars and i think they have street glo or soemthing cuz i can still see the blue when iget out of my car for like an hour and when i back up i have to turn the **** off so i can see lol

Dude, i ate a new 6cyl cougar on I91 S. We were rollin at like 70 then he started to take off on me. I quickly downshifted and blew doors on his a$$. Those things arent fast at all
