beat a stang
on 77N in ohio when a gold stang pulled on me hard, I let it pass, from behind I saw it was not a gt, anyway, we had a few runs and it kept beating me. We got off of 77 on th 76E, as we were getting on the ramp to merge to 76, I flipped a switch and turned on my NX system, from 30MPH in 2nd all the way to 5th (went up to 140MPH) I killed him!! Was ahead at least 2 car lengths at the fastest point, at around 120mph he dropped back big time. (do they have a fuel cut or governor?)- we had one more run after that from 3rd gear and I took him again- I'm now ADDICTED to my nx system, although I cant use it now- noticed I was running lean when using it, waiting for a reply in tech forum with how to fix that- larger injectors? AFC controller? anybody know? I have a 50 shot of NX installed, it should not be running lean but it is.

Good kill........but you should have been able to beat him without the NX. I can beat my friend's V6 stang. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]

Rep Power: 414 Well I was doing it from a dead stop. Maybe at since you were rolling it could be a little different to get the jump power. Either way, it is a good kill. Whenever I beat my friend its always by only a car length if that.

Rep Power: 401 his advantage is from a roll, not a stop. The stang will take you off the line easily, so from a roll is more to your advantage than his.

Rep Power: 340 true. the point that was made about the roll is probably right. stangs would mos def kill us on a launch but if you pull hard enough i am sure youll have him in your mirrors. well i think you should have the NAWZ taken away from you, maybe try working on your technique before you wreck a perfectly good car.
