dont know how to drive stick? haha, young man i've learned how to drive stick first ( on a z3). my dad has a manual porsche gt2 and countless times i drove that. so who are you to say anything about not being able to drive stick or not?

and spoiled rich kid? first, im payin half of the car myself and pay for all the insurance. 2nd, why you hatin because my folks are well off and can afford me to buy what car i want? 3rd, if your parents offered to buy you a car, your sayin that you would tell em "no , i want to pay for it myself" ??? i offered to pay for half of it...

and why not g35 or is300? well i looked into is300... you get much more performance off a WRX. and the g35? first, insurance was a little too much for my likings, i wanted to put mods and aftermarket parts on my car and WRX had much more options.

when it comes to a comparison of cars...yes yours is faster in a drag...but how well attuned are your driving skills? can you take a 15 mph turn at 40+ while maintaining complete control of the car? (controlled skidding) only reason i mention this is cause many wrx owners are confused and think they have real wrc cars.

overall i realize how much i miss my old 5.0. and yes that car would rape you. and yes, the car would have been 18 years old.

oh yea and dont call me young one...when you are the one who's parents reward their kid with a 25k car even though hes a screwup that goes to a community college (as evidenced by the 40 min commute to school). unless for some odd reason you go to a good school and stay at home...which doesnt make sense for people our age. i go to a cc too, but i left a tier 1 school (RPI) to take care of my mother (cancer) and now that i dont have a dad...im sure you get the picture.

overall, youre just an incompetant twit with too much of an ego because of your wealth.

about the "if your parents offered...new car" i choose not to. i bought my 5.0...entirely. oh yea and since im no richboy, i pushed to get the loot for it. although i didnt pay for my civic, i didnt choose it either. the decision was entirely my parents. they said that if i had taken the money id saved up and bought that '88 corvette ive always wanted, to not come home.

I know other high performance cars do, like Lambos. I don't think all cars do though, because it's usually printed right on top of the engine, and i don't think i've seen that on any engines.

As for the WRX having more mods than a G35. hahahaha. give it a little longer. the G35 has the VQ35, same engine as the 350Z. there will be tons of stuff out for it. also, can't forget that it's a much faster car stock than the WRX (auto). turbo the VQ, and it'll be flying. How much more was the insurance for a G35 over a WRX?

EDIT: forgot to mention that you can do tons to an IS300. has more potential than a WRX. ever heard of the Altezza? comes stock with a turbocharged engine like the WRX, same car as the IS, all you need to do is swap. or with some work you can put in the GS400 motor, with the Soarer 6spd, and turbo that. and yes, it has been done. or if you want. keep the GS400 auto since your too lazy to move your left leg that much.

First of all When did this thread become a flaming of automatics, and in that case hondas in general. Second "wrx4me" do you even own a civic. If not than what the fu*k are you doing on a civic site. maby all the wrx owners won't have you because you drive an automatic. By the way I went down to the rental place in my town and rented a z3 for 35$ a day. What a piece of sh*t. The most worthless waist of money. You are pne of those people that like to flash that they have money to impress people. Well guess what....not impressed. I work for the Air Force. I'v spent 8 months in the desert so little ****** like you can live off mommy and daddy. Either say somthing that is worth listening to or shut the Fu*k up.

Bottom line is that all cars are fun to race. It's fun to race period. You don't need a 5spd to enjoy racing or to race to begin with.

There's no reason to pick on the kid for driving an auto. What do you care? Does it make you mad that HIS car is the way he wants it?

No reason to flame him because his parents have money. Too bad yours didn't and you resent it to this day. Jealousy is a horrible thing.

I hope I have the financial security when I'm older to buy my kids a car like my parents did for me. Are you gonna say in someone else's shoes you wouldn't let your parents buy you a car? Finally, to the original question. With the listed mods, I would say the Civic would win. Thats assuming the zx2 is actually stock. Just have some fun, and don't hurt anybody. Lastly, why does everyone get pissy when someone buys an auto? Is your life so boring that you have nothing better to get mad about?

I also agree with you. It doesn't matter who buy the car, as long as that person is not being a complete d**k by going around and think he/she is better than everyone. Also, it doesn't matter if you drive an auto or 5 speed. I dont' have a problem with people who own other types of car being here like this WRX guy as long as he's not talking crap about our cars. maybe he like the 7th gen.
