01 civic ex vs. 88 civic hatch back dx
ok both our cars are like as stock as it gets but it was like my first organized race so im kinda proud any way it was like 3 or so in the morning and this guy just got his civic and him and his friend were racing(his friend has a rex 2nd gen with a sohc "ZC") and im sitting there like i wanna race first the rex challanged me i was worried my first race would be a slaughter cuz he doesnt weight any thing so i said i wanted to take the civic so we got out to a safe location and they could tell i had never raced before i reved to like 2000(im still working on my launch) and when he droped his arms i floored it but forgot to drop the clutch so i reved high before engaging the clutch after spining my tires a bunch he was a decent distance ahead after my second gear though i started gaining by the time we finished i had at least a 1/2 a car on him... probably not the best or most interesting race but i was happy

first of all, you're 21 and you can't write for crap. Second of all, your whole story was one big GIANT sentence, which made it really hard to follow. Third, there is no such thing as a SAFE location when it comes to street racing. Fourth, a slow stock civic versus another OLD *** slow stock civic is a lame race.

maybe he was kinda excited when he was typin and thats y it was all one big sentence. I'm 20 and i forget to *** periods sometimes. seriously, u dont have to be all that punctual online, not like he's being graded. oh well, but yeah when u say "safe" whereabouts is this?

The place that was selected for our race that was "safe" was out on a street with a farm on one side and a farm on the other. What i ment by safe was compared to main st. this was a highly safe location.
(note: I hope my statments are in the proper format for this forum)
(and to everyone else thanks for the back-up much apreciated

I've got a similiar race to this coming up. My 01 EX vs. my best friend's 88 CRX DX that's been gutted...Took it to the scales and it weighs 1950 lbs. without driver. It's got no muffler so when you drive it it SOUNDS fast and kinda feels fast...but I guess we don't know until we actually go.
racing is racing, I'm fundamentaly opposed to street racing but what the hell, good job. I've got a friend with a 44hp renault and he canyon races that thing all the time. Its unbelievably slow on the throttle but it drives great and he does very well with it, downhill.
