Are 16's Possible? lol

Aight i know this is kinda stupid for me to even worry about but here it is. I want to run my car at the track just for the hell of it, im not one of those kids who just throws an exhaust on his civic and thinks hes the fasted thing on earth. I know my car is beatable by possibly everything else that moves. I just want to race it to have fun and just see what i can do. With the mods that i list below, do you think my car can even make it into the 16's?

AEM SRI
Neuspeed Front Strut bar
Magnaflow Exhaust
Eibach springs
Konig 17's with Toyo proxes 4 (but if i do run this wed. i will have my steelies still on from the winter)

Trust me im not expecting to do anything great out there, just trying to have fun. What do you guys think, 16's possible?

oh yeah doign a little weight reduction and lowering your tire pressure on steelies will help too. so go have some fun man and remember its all about the first 60 feet.

nope...4 speed auto...so u think that with the manual trans i would break out of 17's? is there any chanc eof this with the auto?

lowering the pressure in both the front and rear wheels or just front? and by how much? i was planning on lowering the front pressure to liek where i can tell the tire has gotten a little wider from the decreased air. is that good or all 4?

pretty much only way your gonan break into 16's with an auto is turbo or nitrious. but from what ive seen they don't hold up to alot of power increses very well. but yeah 17's with your mods is highly possible.

just lower the pressure on the fronts to like 26 pounds or so.

Damn dude thats definitly what i was hoping i wouldnt hear lol...I wanna run it just for fun but i mean, running 17's is just a joke. Not that 16's is anything to brag about but i would much rather leave the track with a time in the 16's over the freakin 17's

here in a few weeks when the track is open and my new tires come in im goging try and hit mid 13's (off the bottle) lets hope speed and sound can do some major tunning, and the engine and axels can hold up.

^^^ if you want a self esteem boost, do bracket racing. it's the only thing you'll be good at with an auto civic, not hating just saying any other straight line speed venture is fairly futile. i owned one before, i know

i doubt you crack even 17's, feel free to surprise me. about 18.1-18.2 would be my guess. for advice on auto 7th gens, i suggest the following threads:

don't try racing your auto man, your gonna kill your tranny. The stock auto honda trannies dont hold up too well.

auto tranny.....hell is going to freeze over b4 u hit the 16's. i just recently hit the 17's i had been stuck at 18.1 for the longest time out. my 1st run ever i ran a 19.4 but good luck man. and who knows u might be the 1st one in a 7th gen auto 2 hit the 16's lol
