i pull on my friends 04 ex, i have an 03 ex both manuals, all I have is a aem v2 intake... it must be doing something. And boy do v2 intakes sound freaking nasty holy ****. But yea I see that "under the curve gain" you are talking about but lets say (we aren't talking about any particular car here) you have a turbo that runs a very low low psi ( like 5) to only give about 50 horsepower, you have i/h/e/pullies/whatever combination of N/A mods to give you 50 more N/A horsepower... The turbo gives you more power under the curve, but none the less its 50 horsepower total. Meanwhile the 50 horsepower from the N/A has to go somewhere because its still a net gain, so you get 50 horsepower at the peak. So being that you change gears at least 3-4 times in a 1/4th mile, you are feeling the effect of that 50 extra horsepower whether it be under the curve or not. The only place where I can see that "under the curve" giving you an advantage is in the final gear or after just shifting and your about to finish the run.
So that 50 turbo might shave off 1 sec, its safe to say that the n/a mods will shave off almost just as much, don't you agree?

I have a 2002 civic ex 5spd sedan
aem short ram intake
no powersteering
my 60ft is 2.64 very slow off the line because i have bald tires
1/4 is 16.5@86.9mph
with better tires i belive i can do 16.0 flat
this was at the sacramento raceway and the temperature was in the high 90's that day very hot....

just focus on ur launch...ur 60ft is everything in drag. how to launch is up to u. trying playing with the water box...as in..one run u warm up ur tires..another run avoid the water..stuff like that. when u launch...look for wheel hop if any..first few runs should be more like a test run to see how things are. so yeah...thats all i cna say..have fun and dont break anythign!
