on the highway

ok first ill start by saying im a hypocrite. my anger got the best of me. so heres what happened. im not a member of 7genners against street racing. im done with that cause i didn't follow it.
im on 85 north goin home at about 80mph. heavy traffic. heavy. this black GS elcipse flies in front of me within an inch of hitting me. and he keeps going. so im really mad and i gun it. im already in 5th at 4k. so i basically push it to 110mph weaving in and out of traffic with this kid till i pass him and pop the clutch and coast back to 80. then he almost hits me again and flies in the 985 highway direction. im almost sorry we split. damn i want a piece of that idiot. i hope i see him again. the eclipse wasn't the new new ones like the 06. but it was the 04-05 body style GS.

weaving through heavy traffic...very smart ... i indulge in racing sometimes too, but never when there are others around that i can put at risk.

weaving in traffic is not cool, but street racing is not bad when there is a clear path.

don't put your car at risk to show up their pos. its not worth ruining something you put so much time into.

man o man have i had days like that. ill tell you a little story actually 2 that will make you not chase someone down. first off aznboysrfr (d) knows exactly where this took place. i was getting on the freeway for 2 exits getting on at lake forest and off at lapaz. well when i got on i was passed by some moron in a minivan on the on ramp who almost pushed me onto the freeway over the median for the on ramp. so i gave the guy a couple of toots from the horn and the finger and went on about my business. i got over a couple of lanes and ended up ahead of the guy. well he pulls up next to me it was a skinny asian guy that couldnt have been older than 18-19. he rolls his window down and started shaking his arms and hands at me like he wanted a piece. i took my glasses off and showed him the pissed off look on my face and he stepped on it and got a couple cars ahead of me in the lane next to me. next thing i know he has is arms back out the window and he is throwing pennies at my truck. at this point i lost it and started to drive like a angry bull. i got in front of him and slammed on my brakes hoping he would hit me. but he didnt so i started pointing through my back window for him to pull over. he knew what would happen if he did that so he tried to ditch me by weaving. well his little minivan was not going to out run my truck and i kept on him and followed him all the way down to camino capistrano exit about 15 min south of where we started. he got off and went into town and tried to flip a bitch at the first light that was turning yellow like i wouldnt follow. but i did. he then drove straight to the CHP office down the street. so i followed and jumped out and told the officer what had happened. but there were a few other scratches on my truck so he said that i had no proof and let the guy go and took a report from him in case i decided to track him down and beat his ****. so that was the end of that because i am married with 2 kids and this guy was not worth going to jail for.

#2 a friend of mine was driving one night on his way back to norwalk. he looked in his rear view to see a car hauling ****. so he decided to get in it and try to race the car. well he smoked the car and that must have pissed him off. because the car wouldnt get away from him he just followed in every lane my buddy was in and eventually got off the freeway at the same off ramp. well as the light was red all of the sudden 3 guys jump out of the car at the red light with assult riffles and walked up to the car with them pointed at him. he about pissed his pants then they all started laughing got back into the car and drove off.

one story shows what can happen just for giving the honk and not just blowing it off and another shows what can happen if you do decide to race some guy and he doesnt like losing. from that point forward no more freeway races for me. not a one. highspeed races are the most dangerous anyway. think about it. if you going 100+mph and someone else makes a mistake and doesnt see you at the last minute and hits you do you really think your going to survive a 100+mph crash in our little encobox. i dont and i am not willing to take that chance.
another story a friend of mine was with his kids and wife on the 23rd of this month doing 80 on the 91 in the express lane. well some taxicab crossed the double yellow and got sideways right in front of him causing him to hit the taxi and spin out doing 80+mph in a nissan armada. cars totaled everyone is ok but a lot of drama happend because of someone else. not that your driving cant handle the speed but if someone else isnt paying attention is it really worth your life?????

well my thoughts behind an F20C or F22C swap is rather ...

the reasons behind that are:

- too much custom work = too much $
- the 00-05 S2000 ECU's are very difficult to reprogram ... so no Hondata. (06's = hondata)
- since you would be keeping the FWD platform, it would be cheaper, easier and more power can be made with a K24

it's a good idea ... however it's rather impractical

... just my opinion

k24? i have hear of k24s with k20a2 heads. but i figure f20c cause its already a high revving motor, and a reflash it not a big deal to me.
i want to do FWD cause its just less of a drivetrain loss.
i don't think it will be that much. if anything it should be cheaper than a k20 swap cause those are the answer to everything lol. i could ebay a f20 for 2k, maybe less. get a tranny, do some work, and i think a complete swap would be around 4 or 5k.

I don't know about cheaper than a k20 ... I would think it would be much more expensive. I've checked around ebay, F20c's are more expensive than $2000 ... at least the ones I've seen. even Hmotorsonline has F22C's for $4200 + s/h.

- f20c motor
- custom tranny
- axles?
- custom mounts
- wiring job
- custom header
- custom intake
- custom exhaust
- shift linkage?

if you can do it though, props to you heh

208 whp is good for an n/a honda motor without tuning. Since MajinB's story was in an EM2, I allowed his imagination to wander with the car he currently has rather than saying "you could build an 11 second fox body mustang with $10k" or some other garbage like that.

400+ hp is easy to get on a 5.7L you gotta be joking me. With an engine nearly 3 times bigger than my engine, you better be pushing 3 times the power I am pushing.
