Quote: Imagine having a 450hp 5.7L under your hood trying to hook up on street tires. welcome to my world
and what car do you have that had 450 hp? not that hemi truck you had. and even if you dumped enough into it to make that power your pushing like 3x the weight as a vic with an auto tranny, open diff. and and low gearing. that thing pushes more trq than hp which is what a truck should do.

No not the HEMI but still it wasn't all that slow for a 6600 lb 4X4 I ran a 14.92 @ 89 Luskville last spring with all the Bolt ons I could find. As for the Honda i don't see the point in modding it.Putting 10+ grand into to run maybe high 13's and then blow up on you. I'd be too embarrased to run my Civic at the track around my buddies.I'd never live it down for years to come

96 T/A LT1 It's actually a 383
58mm Throttle Body
Ported Intake
Stage2 heads
Comp Cam 236/242
36lb Injectors
Crank
Forged H beam rods
Forged flat top pistons
4 bolt main caps
Race oil pan
Plus all the suspension mods and 3.73 gearing
456rwhp\431rwtq
best e.t 12.24 @ 118.2 N/A but usually 12.5's - 12.7's
Spray is going on this spring a 150 shot..

Hoping for 10.99

dude don't get me wrong I love the little car but it's not for the track.lol. I love the look of it but it is deffinately hurting in the performance department. All my friends are power boys with the C5's,C6's,Camaros,Trans Ams etc etc you get the picture. If I took it to the track and looked at my slip and seen a 16 or 17 I'd think I'd sell it. but it's cheap, looks good and great on fuel so that all that matters to me. When it's parked in the driveway the other 4 pick on it well 3 now...

I did say stock em2.

boltons and 300 pounds or however much he had of weight reduction doesn't count as stock...

I did also mention a "decent" or average/somewhat above average driver.

redline04 also had bfg drag radials and was hitting 2.0 60' times, which is impossible to do with the stock tires... so his driving skills are also above average.

if you want to get really picky, there is a member on here a LONG while back who hit a 15.8 bone stock ... but like I said ... normal drivers who are decent won't be able to hit those times.
