Tampa Silver Civic pwned... It wasn't just a sentra!

I will start by saying this guys car was very clean and that this is not an attack of any sort.

The only thing that I could have cared less about were the AEM stickers on the back windows as well as his 7thgencivic.com stickers but other than that small complaint very nice looking coupe.

Well I'm out taking one of my friends out for a ride in the car after all the work being done to it and on the way back we are sitting at a light on Tampa road just before Super Walmart I really wasn't even paying much attention to the civic until I heard the light turn green and tires went spinning off the line and he put a car on me with me normally pulling out in first gear. Well obviously the takeoff got my attention and I shoved it into 2nd real quick and floored it. By the end of 2nd gear I closed the 1 car length he had put on me and proceeded to put 3 more car lengths on him.

I immediately pulled into the Steak and Shake parking lot but I guess he had no IDEA what this car was.

So if you read this I just wanted you to know that you were beat by a 12 second sentra and no it's no where near what a stock Spec-V would put on you.

You car looked very tastefully done unlike other civics I see in Tampa so props to you man. I see your car all the time that was just the first time we were anywhere near each other to get some sort of race going.

I only went through 2nd gear and as you could imagine traction is horrible. I was at a Sentra meet that night and we were only like 4 blocks from that light so not much room for 3rd gear which is the gear I finally gain traction on and leave people.

Like I said though he had a nice looking car and I have no idea what the mods were to it. I'm assuming he's a member here since he had the decal for this site on his car.

Thanks for the compliments. I do appreciate them especially coming from civic guys. LOL!

LOL...

Actually Kevin should be moving to FL next summer sometime. I'm sure that would be a little easier to set something up for sure.

Oh and I'm not bragging about killing civics. LOL! I could do that before had no problem. The guy I'm sure was a little shocked. I mainly posted because his car did look clean. I was hoping he'd stop and chat for a while but no one in Tampa does that much.

About 4 grand.

So for less than what I would have paid for a turbo kit I got the swap. Currently it's the only one in existance so I'm still working out various bugs.

I wouldn't know why... I mean hell a high 12 car against what I can only assume would be a bolted 7th gen at best. Not much to be ashamed of IMHO. His car was clean and for that I do give him props especially considering the vast amount of riced out civics in my area.
