this is kinda based on ragingSPAM's no more yellow headlights for me (got away from cops tehe). and how many people reacted to his story of running from cops that are obviously after you but are not yet behind you. I do this all the time. if i am going 85 down the freeway i iether speed up to 90 and try to make it to the next exit b4 him. or run a stop sign and notice a cop up the road who has his lights on and is looking at you so you pull in to the closest parking lot and get out of there. this is common for everyone i know. so i was just wondering doesnt everyone do this?

hm....

u must have a good experience from dealing with cops to do this....i bet some people already start to **** their pants when they realize that a cruiser is ready to catch your car...

it might be interesting to try though...

however, what happened if the cop already behind you and following you? is it still ok to park and walk out??

I have done it before also. But only if there is a good chance of getting away. As soon as I see lights I stop no matter how far back he is. I don't want to end up on the news

once, but there were a lot of corners for me to turn on and chill, i had oodles of time to do so. usually i just stop, i have a 60% chance of a ticket from history, that ain't too bad.

Actually, my dad once was clocked in for speeding on a side street without knowing it, but the cop couldn't catch up to him before he made it to the coffee shop. When my dad came out, the cop car was blocking his, and that's how the officer gave him a ticket [he had another cop as a witness, so my dad didn't have a chance in court].

Don't try.

They dont like having to catch you... and if you think you're faster than the usual crown vic, Louisiana cops typically have LS1 camaros waiting to catch the faster ones.

heres my story....

im late to be home (its 850 i gotta be home at 9 on weekdays) and i live about 15-20 min from dixon(where i hang out) and im im goin down a hill doin 80 and when i get around the last corner of the hill i see a car parked... didnt know if it was a cop.. and i didnt think i should slow down.... well when i passed him, the front lights flipped on and i shifted into 3rd and b4 i knew it i was doin 105 ina 55 then theres a 90' turn almost and i took that at 65(recomended around it is 35) then im goin up hill in 3rd and then to 4th and go around another tight curve at 65(almost wrecked) the cop was way way way behind me. Well, there was a turn that i was gonna fly into its basicly parallel to the road i was goin down... i was gonna hit that at 65 (it goes down straight for about a mile) and turn my lights off and slow down and stop... well... just b4 that turn... there was a car turning left and a long line of traffic so the guy couldnt turn.... i was stuck.... well... i counted with my watch and it took the cop about 18 sec to catch up to me and flip his lights on.....

OWNED!

oh and i got 150 $$$ ticket for that haha

you tried to run away. W T F do you think THEY are trippin on? tell me you seriously don't think the cops were "trippin" about something because they cuffed you cuz you tried to run.

on 2nd thought this thread is really f*cking stupid. you try to run or be evasive, you risk getting yourselves or someone else hurt. don't speed up and try to rush somewhere to get away from the cop before he turns his lights on.

here's a grand f*cking idea. how about NOT speeding? and if you DO speed, be a man and face the penalty.

if you run from the cops you deserve to be shot.
