.4 seconds is a lot.
in your case a 15 sec car and a mid 14 sec car.
And 6 mph is the difference between a car with an empty bottle, and one with a full one.
If your a good driver, you can get into ANY car and pull off times better than the owner of the car.
I am not a very good driver. i am a decent driver, yet i still have one of the fastest 1/4 times on d17. I can drive my civic pretty well, i can drive my vette pretty well, and i can drive my buddies WRX alright. If i get into any other car, it takes practice for me to do anything.
My friend Jeff is a great driver. He went 10.90 on stock suspension in his GSR powered 94 hatch. And he can get into pretty much any car and run faster than the person who brought it to the track.

^^^ Yes, I like the term decent driver. It shows modesty yet confidence. And I would bet that in reality you are "better than most at the track".
I applogize for my skeptisizm, but:
I use to play a ton of golf and was not to bad (mid-high 70s). It always worked out that the guys who said that they were great on the first tee ended up being compleate hacks. Now the guys who you meet up with, and who reply "hmm, I'm not to bad" those were the ones who you needed to watch out for.
I belive the reason for this is the hacks live in some alternate reality where they are gods gift to golf, and they have no perspective on just what it takes to be great. The guys that are good know just how much better really good players are (ie. Tiger Woods) and in perspective they are just decent players.
I think the same could be applied to the track

Sorry i went 15.0 @ 93.xx mph ion his car my bad.
His best was 14.6 @ 96 but averaged 14.7-8 at 94-95 . I did on have one ruin in his car. But he can drive his car better than me.
Well you can say ium full of it all you want but I still get really good times out of cars I drive. I wasnet saying im better than everyone else just better than most and better than most of my friends.
Please dont make me out to be an *** cause im not. If you dont think im a good drivewr at all come see me drive then talk your smack. Untill then i have to wait to run my 02 cause it rains every wed. here. So work with me here and please stop ******* me.
Thanks.
I am not doubting you and I am not trying to give you a hard time, but I just think that things should be kept in perspective. It does not take much practice to drive a car down a strait 1/4 track and run good times. But to be considered one of the best at the track (ie. run for $, compeate in national events and bigger events and do well) it takes alot.
That is all that I am saying. Not trying to be a ****

Well I finally ran the car again this time with the header.
16.41 @ 83.8
Im kinda disapointed that I ran slower with the header. Now i look like an idiot cause of all the 15.9 talk I was doing. My guess is that the stock header is fine for these cars unless you do somthing else like exuast or test pipe. Mid range feels good but maybe at a sacrifice for topend.
Well all you guys who doughted me are were right. but at least Im man enough to admit my car ran slower with mods.
My next few mods will be exhaust, test pipe, and intake. Maybe then it will
15s. Until then no more BIG talking from me. I guess these motors just dont respond like a b series or a d16z6.
Thanks for the input
