That video was VERY vague. They didn’t give ANY details. They didn’t say what kind of head they put on the engine. They didn’t say what valve-train or what cams or what internals are in the LS block. Really, the info they gave is worthless & sounds more like a "set up" then some experiment/test.

No. A B18C5 in "X" (read, not an ITR chassis) is traditionally a "poor mans ITR". For just the motor, my set up would be the other qualification. A B16 head on a B18C5 block.

there is a lot more done to that engine than just the ls/vtec head swap. ls/vtec cars are still substantially slower than the ITR. track times alone prove that.

i raced a guy with ls/vtec, and a ton of bolt ons, cams, vafc, etc, back when my S2k was stock. while it's hard to tell in the video I beat him by like 6 cars to 70. it was an *** whupping.
