I didnt Know...
I didnt know that EVOVIII's could handle that well.... i got my 1st ride in one yesterday after a morning meeting at best buy... and OMG.... he said he wasnt driving hard and yet still, i had the ride of my life. anyways, since it was like only 10 am, there was no one on the roads. so we went around the tysons area (for those of u who live in va,md,dc) for a spin. 1st time ive been in a car so fvcking fast.... it was almost stock too, just exhaust, cams, and test pipe. the guy also auto-X w/ his bmw usually so he showed me a hell of a time. we would go like 85 down a straight away, he would move onto the opposite side of traffic, then brake 10 feet from the stop sign then turn so sharply that i thought i had left my stomach back at the stop sign. after he turned, he would accel. so freakin fast that i juss was dazed. the funny thing is, the adrin didnt hit me till i got outta the car. all i could think about was how fast it was and how crisp its handling was. only thing that bothered me was the squeeking of the brakes everytime he braked... it started like 15 mins into the ride. but anyways, after i got outta the car, i went back to work but could talk right cuz of the adren rush that JUST hit me 10 mins. after the ride. man, this experience made me look at my civic n juss cry...

yeah they do pretty well. but if you think that car can handle, try the cars that dominate A-stock. around tight road courses and auto-x tracks, they're fun as hell.

it makes me look at auto-x in such a different manner now seeing how some people can make a car move. one thing after the ride he told me was that the car was doin 75% of the driving. he said once he climbs into his 325, he actually has to drive it. makes me wanna go into auto-x wit my auto vic :P
BTW S2kman out of all the events that I have been to I am yet to see a S2k that impressed me
. I know that they are out there, but everyone in this area has no concept of how to drive. There are a couple of guys with Z06s that do run some very low times. There are also a couple of EVOs (one imparticular) that run very good times, but usually 1-2 seconds slower that the best driven Z06.

yeah your area may not have someone that can drive decently. but so far, if you look at anything that's a regional championship or anything like that beyond the local scope, you get a much clearer picture. zzyzx and others have said the good ol S2's are giving the C5's a run for their money in A-stock.
