Took a shot at a WRX
Well I was on my way home from work today in my Volvo S60 T5 on a two lane road when I noticed an SI blue WRX just a couple of cars ahead in the other lane! I had more room to accelerate than he did so i speed up a bit and passed him. After that he got stuck in traffic. Well a couple of lights later I am going down a hill and i see him speeding towards me! So I stepped on it! At this point i was just playing around plus there were still other cars in the lanes ahead of us! Well finally we both came to a red light with no cars in front of us and a straight road ahead! Light turns green and we both take off! At first I was leading but after we reached about 75 or so he started pulling and eventually got about a car length ahead of me! We topped out at about 105mph! Although I barely lost I thought I did pretty good considering it was a WRX! I actually was putting down more hp and torque than him unless he had something done to it but it looked completely stock on the outside! But I think the AWD is what gave him the edge! Unless he was a really good shifter, it appeared he had an auto too cuz I never saw his car jerk once! Ohh well you win some you lose some!

Actually he was really trying! Ohh and btw I dont have a civic anymore! i have an S60 turbo-charged Volvo! yes a volvo! Look up the specs on his car and then on mine! I put donw 250hp and he puts down 227hp! He wasn't messing with me! He was trying not to mess up cuz he was only about a car length ahead of me!

S60 T5:
257hp, 3,393lbs
WRX:
227hp, 3085lbs
From a stop he should have taken you, and at higher speeds you should have started to pull. If he was an auto he would be putting around 160ish to the wheels while you should be around 220 to the wheels assuming its FWD. He has the weight advantage, but you should be able to make it up with your HP advantage.
By the numbers, I think you should have won, so he may have been running a downpipe and ECU reflash. They are very steathly, and can give upwards of 45hp over stock.

Yeah I guess he had something done cuz I figured I should of had him just looking at stats but I think the fact that he had AWD and 300 less pounds to carry gave him the edge and he may in fact have had a reflash or something else that you cant notice from the outside but I thougth it was a pretty good race!

GreatWhite02, what's with the exclamation marks after every freakin' sentence!? It's like you have your period and exclamation keys swapped or something, man. Get that fixed.

Don't the RS's have circular headlamps while the Imprezza's and STI's have the other headlamps or does it vary? I'm 100 percent sure it was an WRX Imprezza because he didn't have the BBS wheels or brembo brakes. It's hard to mistake an Imprezza for an STI unless he shaved his emblems but even still the wheels and brakes would give it away plus this guy had all of his factory emblems and it said "WRX Imprezza"

Nope. No civics/tegs/neons etc.. will even look over at me at a stop light. My car is very mean sounding, so I suspect I'm scaring a lot of them off.
Edit: Im going to see if I can get a friend to take some video/sound of my exhaust so you can all hear what it sounds like.

LOL No such thing. 99% of Subaru owners have taste.
