beat a turbo RSX
I have never actually seen a turbo'd RSX in person until today. (at least not that i can remember) To be honest, I didn't even know what they were capable of. I've seen more turbo ford focii than turbo civics, and that's actually really sad. lol.
It is a very hot day today, with a temp of about 94 and the sun beating down, I had the AC blasting and the top down. biggrin.gif Wouldn't have it any other way.
I was in the right lane of a two lane road, and approaching a stop light when I spotted an RSX-S in the left lane on the line. As the light turned he kinda took off, and accelerated to cruising speed quickly. From that point all I could hear was his exhaust.
Nearing another light I started to creep by him slowly, thinking maybe he'd want to take a quick run. As I started to go by him, the light turned. He kinda started accelerating in gear, then when he went to let off, I heard a slight PSHHHH.
Stopping at the light, he had on a hat, sunglasses, and had a male passenger with him as well. I gave a little rev to see if he'd still bite, and he started revving back. Then I heard the BOV very distinctly. Wasting no time, we waited for the light. No traffic ahead of us, and only 1 car behind that hadn't reached the light yet.
I rev up. 6500rpm. He's got his revs up a bit, waiting for the light, and it turns green. I pop the clutch, and floor it. I can feel I got a good launch. I take him by about a car off the launch. Through 1st gear, I maintain 1 car. Into 2nd gear and he starts to pull ever so slightly. By end of 2nd his front tire is at about my back tire. Into 3rd and I hold him off still, with him pulling his front tire almost to my door. Into 4th and he can't pull anymore. In fact he even starts losing some ground slightly.
At the top of 4th I shut down and he does too. He gives a quick nod, and then slows to make a U-turn and head back somewhere from where we came.

Rep Power: 265 Why did u have the AC blasting and the top down...doesnt that defeat the purpose...but good kill and dont type-s blow up if you turbo them, unless you lower the compression

Rep Power: 400 i've done some quick searching, and i saw a few on 7psi turbo kits that were in the 13.4 range with 103-104 traps.
and you can turbo an rsx without lowering compression as long as you don't crank up the boost too much.
and I had the AC blasting because it was so hot, but I still wanted the top down. it helps to put the system on top-down mode and then blast the AC. lol.

Rep Power: 329 i rode in a local guy's cybernation stage 1 rsx-s, it was fun. boost was awesome, made me want it worse. he was using guardian and his injectors weren't up to the task at about 7000rpms, so i didn't get to feel it in high rpms even. but it was slick. if you only had 1 car from the start, he must be a good driver with decent tires too. props on the kill!

Rep Power: 400 in this case, yes i think the faster car won. if he was only running 5-7lbs. he'd be right in my range or a bit slower.

However, traction would be key, but this would mean that he should have started to pull top end. I would guess around 5psi tunned or 7psi tunned poorly or not tunned at all (either that or he had a serious system in the trunk and a/or a fat friend) would be about right given the senario.

Rep Power: 0 half a car is a "kill" these days? more like a good run. kills used to be by car lengths.
so lets say if u ran a much faster car, perhaps a cobra, and you only lose by half a car, you wouldn't say that you got killed by him.
