i/rh 05 type s and body kit with an eclipse attached to it VS Me
Last night on my way to work I was pulling out from my street and had a pair of HID's pulling up quickly behind me. Seeing as my car wasn't up to temp, I wasn't ready for a run, but found myself stopped at a light.
The car pulls up next to me and it looks like an 05 RSX-S. I had the top down, and he has his window down so I glance over. He kinda gave me a look, and then the light turned green. Right away he floored it and took off. I just let him go, as there was no point in racing him and shifting at 6000rpm every time. He lets off after he's probably 10 cars ahead of me, and then slows down.
Further down the road I'm next to him again and we're slowing as we reach another light. This time I start a conversation.
Me: Nice car, is it an 05?
Him: Yeah. You have a nice S2000 too, that exhaust sounds killer.
Me: Thanks. Have anything done to yours?
Him: Intake and race header. And then some other stuff just for looks. You up for a quick run? Stoplight roll?
Me: Sure, but I'm not stock.
Him: FI?
Me: No none of that.
Him: K.
At that point his attention was more diverted toward the light as the cross light had turned red, and the oncoming left turn signal was on.
The light turns and we go. I slowly start to pull on him, and hitting 6000rpm I start to jump past him. Into 2nd and I'm pulling hard. 80mph and 3nd of 3rd gear I have about 6 cars on him. I slow down for my turn onto the freeway and he gives a thumbs up as he goes by.
Then earlier today I notice a car "dipping" through traffic behind me, catching up quickly. It looks like an eclipse, but it has some god awful body kit on it. It's a 2nd gen eclipse, and the guy also has a MASSIVE spoiler on the back. Not aluminum, but a double decker spoiler none the less. The most amazing part is this body kit. I assume his car is lowered too, because the body kit is to the point of scraping the ground. It's literally brushing the ground. I don't even know how someone can drive a car like that without scraping every time he turns or does anything.
I already know what's coming, and sure enough, he gets next to me and drops it down a gear. I look over, and him and his goofy passenger have these dumb ricer grins on their faces. He starts to speed up a bit, so I downshift to match. He floors it, and so I downshift another gear and take off. I leave him so far back that he probably gave up after 50 feet. It was a slaughter.
But no worries. He probably just slowed down once he hit 50, because any higher and his car will start to lift off the ground I'm sure.

haha S2000man you rock. It makes me feel good to imagine i were you kicking everybody's *** in my hot s2k. but then i go out into my garage and reality hits me pretty hard. dont get me wrong i love my vic but i'd def. rather have you s2k.
