Angry fitting in civic with helmet on

I have noticed this the last few times that I have raced, I just don't seem to fit right in my car with a helmet on. I either have to sit way down in the seat (my head is still right against the roof) or move closer to the center were the roof is higher. Now I am 5' 10" (average height) so I know that I can't be the only one who has this problem.

no it is a HJC not to sure what model it says CL14 on the face piece and says MBII on the back. I bought it off of my friend when he bought a new bike helmet. It just hits the area of the roof that comes down next to the sunroof

auto-x, I guess I should have put it in that forum, but was not sure if others had to where a helmet at their 1/4 tracks

I have the same problem, I rub right where the edge of the sunroof is on the roof liner... I think the only realy good solution would be to get a lower seat. (not an option if you run Stock).

yeah or learn to sit lower, but I personally feel like I have more control if I sit higher and have a better field of view. I think that sitting that much lower (racing seat) would be hard to get use to IMO

I'm 5'11'' and my head is not touching the roof when i'm racing!!! I don't know how you are sitting but i'm pretty straight for sure! My wrists can touch the steering wheel while my knees are half of an inch to 1 inch from the seering column. So you should fit I'm sure it's just that you haven't found your groove lol. All I can say is try different positions till you find the right one! I rememeber that the first time I was lapping my helmet was touching the roof but now it don't,,, not far dough but not touching. So try it and let me know

Do you have an EX? the sun roof cuts out about 2" of head clearance. When i drive my friends LX my helmet doesnt hit, when I drive my EX it does.

I have a DX so maybe that's why it doesn't touch the roof. Sorry. But if it cut 2", my helmet would touch for sure so we are in the same situation.
