Rep Power: 0 Me vs Integra ??
I was just driving around enjoying the nice weather when I looked in my rear view mirror and saw an integra with a body kit coming on quick. I turned on to a two lane and he followed proceeding to pull along side. I downshifted to second and slowed down to around 20mph he did the same.
His passenger: "hey what to you have in that thing"
Me: "Oh, intake header, exhaust, you know the normal"
His passenger:"Sounds really nice. GO!!!"
Hearing his buddies engine speed up at the cue of his cheap signal I floor my car to hear nothing more than the sound of the 1.7 churning away at 3,500rpms . We must have continued to slow down so much that I was going to slow for even a good pull in second. He pulls a car within seconds, but then my rpms catch up and I begin to pull. I had to shut down shortly after shifting into third due to a car in my lane, but when I did I had a bit more than a car and was pulling. He drives by and gives me a and then turns.
I am really wondering what versions of the late model (99-2001) integra their are and there hp #s. My friend has a GSR and that is a decently fast car that I am almost sure would beat my car especially since I did not get a good start. I am thinking maybe a 5spd GS, however his car was very loud and sounded like it was reving alot higher than mine and it had the same stock exhaust that my buddies GSR has. So maybe it was a auto GSR (if they even make such a thing), but then it seemed like he was able to control his rpms well when he was pacing me.

Rep Power: 376 it sure wasn't a GSR, i can tell you that. GSR's only come in manual.
it was likely an LG/GS model. 142 horsepower, non-vtec engine. it's a dog manual or auto.

Integra GS 140hp 2639lbs 18.85lbs/hp

Integra GSR 170hp 2667lbs 15.68lbs/hp
So as you can see stock for stock a civc ex and a GS or LS would come down to the driver with a slight advantage to the Integra. So how much hp would the civic need to be making at the CRANK to be a compleatly even race?? 139hp or 200lb weight reduction would make it an even race so all the boltons would need to add would be 12hp to the crank. So smoked I would say far from
