dissapointing night at the track

Best I could do was a 15.717@85.81 with 2.231 60 ft.
This was on stockies with my new Falken Azenis RT-615(my new sleeper look). Thought I would be able to match my BFG's with these, but guess I was wrong. Then again I run the BFG's @ 12-15psi. I only went down to 25psi with the Azenis.(scared I might mess up the stiff sidewalls). But from 45psi(street) to 35 to 25 made no difference. 2.2 60ft's and 15.7xx's on all five runs that I made. Very consistant. This was a different track as well and at night. There was a very strong 10mph headwind so that proabally didn't help and could be the cause of my low trap speed? I knew I was going slow too cause I held 3rd and didn't have to shift into 4th like I normally do. Just don't know what went wrong for sure. Probally the new tire set up, but since this was a different track can't say for sure. Gonna run at the other track next week and see what happens. Might have a little something more under the hood though.
Only good thing was I cut a .020 react. time against this mazda 3 that I killed. He ran a 16.7 with a horrible 60ft and had at least an intake(saw his AEM sticker), but never got the chance to talk to him cause my buddy blew up his 99 mustang and I had to give him a hand. He was hoping to run 10's on a 225shot two stage fogger, also had a stroker kit and some other motor work. His launch was sick though. Wheels came up a bit and he pulled a 1.6 60ft. Shut the N20 down mid run cause something wasn't right. Still ran a 12.2 though. His car stalled after crossing the line and he went to start it back up forgot the N20 was still on blipped the gas on the start and bang!! Blew his intake manifold apart and pushed the hood/hinges up a good two inches and bent it all up. Sux cuase he was one of the fastest street cars around here too.
Just was not a good night.
Also beat some loud *** el camino. Thought he was gonna kill me by the sound of it, but his bark was louder than his bite.
Got killed by a hemi pickup. He must have been spraying or had a few mods cause he ran a 14.1 and I didn't think they were that fast. Saw A GTO run a 15.2 (terrible driver) . Wish I had my DR's then maybe I coulda claimed I beat a GTO
Damn I am pissed

sounds like an interesting night. sorry about your buddies stang, sounds killer.

idk if its true or not, but doesnt fresh motor oil give you better results of the engine than darken brown/black ? meaning, new motor oil > motor oil thats been driven on over 3000 miles?

Different tires, I was running my new Azenis which are 1.5" taller than the BFG's and damn near 2 tenths slower in the 60ft(at least at 25PSI) thought they would hook better. Oh and there was the 10mph head wind and 30-40 Degree Temp Difference. All that should be enough reason for the 4.5mph difference. Shitty night all around ! I'm about to order some 13" Lenso's with M&H cheater slicks if Exospeed would ever call me back. Got some other go fast goodies on the way. Trying to be the fastest NA d17a1 and the fastest D17a1 period. Hoping to get booted off the track for not having a helmet running these wheels/tires and a NX 35 shot. Low 14 at least as long as the stock clutch holds. Have to save for clutch & flywheel then step up to 50shot. Maybe I'll get everything by friday and have it on in time for the track.
